I know lots of other people have had this problem. A good chef tissue, people make a bit hard to comeby, Most bio's have a chef alt and dont like compition.
Tailor tissue, god this is next to impossible, ive been searching for 2 weeks..
Pet maker, since i quit bio for shipwright Big mistake and now im an entertiner.. Bio is started on a new server, and FS : ) I need some pets but for now im just taming wilds cuase there are just no good pets to buy..
With things as hard as it is.. why dont bio's work together to get there bussiness going, 2-3 bios could supply tons of stuff.. get organised get hunters, higher rangers for stuff other than carn. tailor tissues are jsut as easy to do in 1k runs.. just like the the chef stuff..
Pet makers, DNA is the big deal but you dont need master for much of the DNA out there, If it was id bet if bio's posted more about buying DNA they would not be running into the huge problems.. I know tons of times making pets i needed lots of DNA and get 2-3 novices lor sampling 4 to help out.. its a great support class character, Medic/scout/ with a bit of melee weapon.. with people helping its easy to have a 200-300 pets on a vendor and they are good pets..
the last thing is, Bio's are the only prof i here of that you'd think it was against some religion.. Untill there are bio-tissue venders as common as WS then you havent a leg to stand on.. the person still needs tons of organitcs, meat/hide/bone. This is the exact reason there aer soo many Bio-clothing and chef foods that are special orders.they spend all there time on BSN cuase its a "good" money maker and about as easy as it gets.. 99% of the time if i need any other food add besides Mico, BSN, or int if i dont bring the resources it aint getting made..
I soo cant wait to get back to master, as a bio you should be thinking BIG.. every server i know of its soo wide open they could be the biggest money maker in the game..I dunno, just some observations i have made.. i love the prof but flame away : )

You got one thing wrong....most BEs dont have a chef alt, its vice versa, most chefs/tailors have a BE alt. Most of them that dont treat us like 'schematic monkeys' anyway.

Me and Septus were discussing this option ages ago but we never really got around to it. I didnt have any merchant skills anymore (was using 'pre-nerf' vendors) and couldn't move to his location. My shop was titchy and I didn't have admin over it. Generally it died before it could take off. The trouble is trying to get a pricing structure that both people could agree on. Septus thought that my prices were around 25% too expensive and I thought his were 25% too cheap
.
BEs are hard to find and read the "why you can't find a BE on your server" thread, you'll know why. Most people treat us like schematic junkies who feel that we owe them something and get angry when we cut out a large part of a business because they want to maximise profits. I actually think its quite sad that people pay extra money IRL getting a BE alt then co-operating with the server's BEs and building a fairer economy.

I agree 100% with Zad on this, not just cos he is promoting my 'Why you can't fina BE on your server thread'
I have a lot of work to do in real life (Final year student) and I know im not the only one. In the past 2 weeks of game time (3 weeks real time - I spent a weeks hol in Spain) I have made approx 30 full runs of tissues. Admitedly my Chef tissue vendor is now empty, and Im pretty much out of meat, but I don't see how I could get much bigger without either a) giving up my real life... or b) giving up my real life...
I can make as many tissues as I can get affordable meat (and flora). Thats the limitation for me. I don't have enough time to either hunt myself ororganise a hunting trip.

Well,
Look at it from this perspective..
All crafting profs need other porfs to some degree.
Tailors= Bio, WS,
Artisan,- =Chef, Bio
Armorer,= Artisan, tailor
Ws- = artisan
chef, Bio+ tailor
De, =artsian, armorer, arcitect
Combat medic,= doc
most crafting classes rely on other classes to make there stuff.. Granted Bio's buisiness is mainly a support class for the other crafters. Were a bio shines alone is pets and to me its the most fun ingame crafting there is..
With that being said. I am mainly a merchant. My job is to get peolple what they want. the number one hardest think and most requested thing i get is bio stuff, if it be pets, or tissue. aka im getting asked to get a pet, or bio-clothing. I dont know how your dealings are with other crafters but someone demanding that you make a schematic is not right.. but ive been a crafter since launch and have never had this happen to me. I deal with other crafters all the time. I dont care if i know them or not i always help out one that are nice to me. Ive given away resources, and many other things to help out people. I have a rep of helping others and i plan to keep it.
Perhaps some of these horror stories have to do with the way you do bussness?? i asked a bio once to make me a schem soo i could make some artisan food. The person was a bio-chef and refused and acually told me "no i dont want you competing with my business.First off, i was going to be making food that people dont stock,, Teitler noodles, and Caf.. this was for a survey food pack which included Chadad, a chef food to help sampling. Well i was pretty miffed about the whole thing cause i dame well knew he wasnt going to make either, and after seeing his pathetic food vendor he wasnot competing with anyone. As an armorer, DE, that had freinds in ever other crafting prof even bio.. they just happend to be not around. I was near his store, cause i was out mining. Im a resource broker as well soo if he came up short on a named speical i can garenty you itis inmy vault or one i have access too. it would have helped him tremndously having made a schem and then had me on his side.. I didnt ask for him to do it for free. I role play, and i role play a merchant and Trade is how i do bussiness. some armor, a nice droid, perhaps a crate of weapons or stims is what he would have got.. and made a freind.
His choice??
Screw the merchant asking.. I got what i needed later that night from my "friend" we help one another all the time. He lost my busssiness, i send people all over the galaxie when people come to me asking for stuff just in the next week alone i recall a good 10+ requests for stuff that he could have helped with. But after the way he treated me.. i said no way, and ya know what his bussiness died not long after that. Not sure if he left cause he didnt like it, or just no bussiness. But remember, its not just the Bio's that have to deal with not soo nice people.. in every crafting prof you have to deal with you share. even that comment,, Bio's dont have chef +tailor alts.. its the other way around is rather aragant. Most of those tailors i know would rather not deal with tissue and tailor is such a hard prof to keep up with, they are forces into it cuase of lack of tissue around
this post is not ment to be a flame at all.. Im trying to get you thinking on a different scale.. When you have 2-3-5 people helping you acomplish a goal you spend lots less time and get much better results.
Lastly, i have a bio that im starting on chimaera.. If anyone wants to help out and get the largest bio store on the server rolling send me a PM, trust me i know what im doing when it comes to running a store.. as a DE thats restocking to have 600+ droids in stock. in combo's you would not imagine, not just harvest R3's or R5's with data pad. Making aa huge bio vendor io thinkis going to be lots of fun..
