Couldn't find this in the links, so if anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated. When sampling DNA, is the quality of the tissue random, or do certain creatures drop certain types of tissues....dewbacks were giving me average tissues, but quenkers were dropping below average....is there a list of what creatures drop what, or is it random?

Any help is appreciated.

Yep, it's random.

Or at least it would appear that way. I've been collecting data on CL vs. DNA quality. Nothing conclusive yet, but so far the data shows a small correlation. On the Mutant Rancor DNA I'm 7% more likely to get a AA sample than a High sample, and 27% more likely to get a AA or than a VHQ.

I need more data to test the CL to DNA quality theory, but I'm working on it (very very slowly).

First, if you are sampling dna, you are gathering dna samples, not tissues. Tissues are crafted, dna is sampled.

Ok, with that cleared up, the dna quality is random, but it will always be in a range of qualities depending on what level you are. So for example at master level you will get only: AA, HQ, and VHQ. At novice I think it's VLQ, LQ, and A. Something like that.

The quality of the dna though is really pretty unimportant, except when you care about getting specials to stick, or ranged attacking to stick. Other than that, the dna quality doesn't seemto mean a whole heck of a lot. If for example you want to make a creature that has a lot of health, then completely ignore the dna quality, and instead look at the "hardiness" statistic on the dna samples that you have. The higher hardiness, the more health. Dna quality is not a factor. Same with all the other stats.

Generally VHQ samples are about 20 stat points or so better than Average Quality ones in high level samples. This can be vital when trying to squeeze AR1 out of samples that really shouldn't have it

Perhaps if we're talking about from the exact same creature. But in general creature-to-creature variations are larger than dna quality-to-dna quality variations. At least in terms of the HAM stats. I'm less sure about fortitude.
