I am loving it...One question, please don't flame. Could someone send me a PM with how much i should charge for making schems. for chefs. I didn't even realize they sold. I am being ATTACKED with pm's from people i know. I am on gorath, if that helps. It is fairly inflated price wise, and i can't find a price calculator. I picked this up for fun and blowing bases, and to help my chef. I had no idea others would help. Thanks in advance.

Well I charge about 800k for an 86 or 87 BSN or 116/117 INN schematic - thats my profit margin on those nutrients. Dont cut any chefs a "deal" because they're "using their own resources" - if you do, you're stabbing all your fellow BEs in the back. Guildies or friends, maybe, ok, but just random customers? Everyone has to pay the fee for your skills, dont be a schematic monkey

I never made schematics because if I did, I knew I would be cutting myself out of 1.4m worth of business per pop. I've made chefs wait 3 days for additives and they still came back. If you are going to make schems, then do as Jekk says and sell them at your profit margin.

And yes ive been gathering my own resources simply because a BE on gorath didnt really exist until just now i dont think LOL. Those of you who are BE never can be contacted or stock vendors so ...
I'd be looking to get 2 1000 use schematics of my own stuff made for medium additives.
Also i need you to make 1000 light additives
and 1000 heavies while were at it 
not all of this at once obviously but i can make my foods n drink as fast or faster than i can get the additives

Personally i dont' like to make schematics, but if i were to do it i'd charge 1mil + for doing it because that's probably around what i'd like to make off any given run (not that i do on a regular basis), and i like to discourage chefs from aquiring suppliments in this manner. On second thought, i'd probably tell them that i don't do schematics, tell them they have about 20sec to apologize for insulting me, then if they didn't i would have no problem with a swift /addignore.
And BTW, /addignore works wonders. you really should try it
Oh and check your title too, on occasion a chef will see the title and ask for a schematics. it's not a big problem on my server anymore, but there was a time when i wouldn't wear my title (or wear a vague title) because it would keep me from getting asked such things.

I routinely refuse to make schematics for anyone but guildies (and within our guild we share virtually everything.) I know you will want to make schematics or free productsfor your alt and for guildmates, but as for selling schematics, I can't tell you what you should do--only why I do what I do.
Poor meat prices and competition for meat driving prices up well over 100 cpu for good quality meat have put BE's nearly out of business on our server. There have been two fair spawns of Dath carn meat on our server recently. The last lasted only 48 hours.
I'll share a recent conversation I had with a chef who was trying to get me to make a schematic.
"Why don't you have any for sale?" he asked.
"Because meat prices have gone through the roof. The meat alone costs 1-2 million for that factory run."
"You BUY your meat? I paid 100 cpu last week. There's no way I'll pay THAT much for nutrients. You should make an alt and hunt your own."
I'm stuck making moderately inferior quality nutrients or charging an exhorbitant price. But I do refuse to contribute to our collective economic woes by making schematics.
Oh, and if you need any help along the way, I'm always happy to help out a colleague. That you picked up BE primarily for fun means you are likely to stay around.

The easy way to deal with that one is..."ok...why dont I hunt the meat, and sell it to you for 100cpu. Ill make more money than using it in nutrients, for less hassle too."

Theres always around 5% with the riches, 5% unemployed and the rest sitting (hopefully)happily in the middle.
Where SWG doesn't balance, where it would IRL,is if someone has 2 chars they can be both a Chef and a BE.IRL it is almost impossible to take on 2 full time jobs.

yeah, hylidex...i would have to say sampling is my favorite, and playing around with templates...making nutrients for the chef is just to buy nice pikes for myself...getting a little help on vent from guildies that were BE's after launch, but now they are grinding Jedi. So any ingame help is fawned over and repaid with lots of kindness in return. Send a tell to olec, and i am mainly on endor or rori. Dath, sometimes at the cave or grinding sampling on surefoot's for luck FS.
