Been grinding for master BE for awhile now, got to 4414 recently, yay for me! But just a few days back, someone out of the blue PM'ed me for a request for a furniture pet. After a few messages back and forth as to what one WAS, I was a bit dismayed to find it was a master beast he wanted.
Granted, I should be thankfull it was a master, cause I have no idea how to price these. Does anyone have a standard scale? I was thinking of charging a standard, maybe ( 1 cpu+ 200 c) x Tier, with novice counting as 1. Is this good, bad? Insane? Im on Kettemoor if it helps >.>

furniture pet? I just charge 2-3k.
Save 5 samples of trash from outside any starport, and the cheapest crappiest meat and flora u have, and your still making a profit.
With crappy mount pets selling for 6k on bazaars theres not much else u can price these at.

house pets are great....I had a Rancor in my house. It used to scare the cr*p out of people when they walked in. Too bad I moved to Tat, it won't fit in the medium house.

I used to have my shop in a medium naboo house. I had a rancor, merek, klik nik, bantha, razor cat and a couple of others....anyway...I recently moved to shop to a guild mall in a small generic, and there isn't really a home for my pets anymore. They are in the back room of the mall, and the door is covered by a wanted posted. Every once in a while, the rancor will stick his head outand frighten the passing customers

2/3k is the price for a ticket....
The minimum price for a pet, every pet, is 10.000.
Pet is tamable is not a furniture. The difference between pet and pet-furniture do not exist.
I'm a BE not an Architect

The minimum price of any pet for me is 10k too, but I don't class display pets as pets, they are furniture.
When architects can make 'pet' furniture, Ill stop making them, until then there is a market niche to be filled. Also, why do u need a ticket to collect trash? I can wander outside of my house and have the samples for loads of display petsin less than 5 mins, if that. If I was in this for masses of money, I wouldn't have stuck with BE for so long
More than anything though,Display pets area way to make links with crafters. If I make a pet forsomeone in a mall,a Chef or Tailor in the mall might ask if anyone knows a BE,and my namewould hopefullyget dropped. Free advertising. It may not happen overnight, but I have had afair amountof business through word of mouth.

We DO fill a market niche with these pets - and they are fun to make and peopl enjoy them. I have had a vendor up for Deco-Pets for a long time, charge 5.5k and they sell well. I first thought people would want to name their own, but they buy the pre-named ones more often than requesting a particular one. Some of mybest sellers are a red narglatch named Lucifer, a woolamander named Yoda, a razor cat named Elvis and the Reb-Eaters and Imp-Eaters always sell well. And holidays are fun because you can make Easter bunnies or reindeer or black cats
And you sure won't makemoney off these - I do it for the enjoyment and for recognition - people rememberthe petmaker, and come back with real orders.
Sure these pets can be tamed, but who wants a level 35 Rancor (even ifhe is named Reb-Eater) with resists of 0 to 5 and damage of 30?

That brings up something I meant to ask. Has JTL affected anyone's prices if you have it? Going from my house on Lok to Endor and back for samples used to be 12 thousand spacebucks, which for a customer order was obviously passed along. Now that it's free and quick(er) it seems fair to adjust accordingly.

I created a bright green graul for a friend of mine named "ComeInOrI'llEatYou"
She tamed it and let it stand aroundoutside her store on Naboo.
One day, she let the graul fight a high-level vir vur I had made for another friend. The graul was essentially a furniture pet. Seeing it go down repeatedly at the paws of a bunny was hilarious.
The Monte Python crew was right. Bunnies ARE dangerous.

I never took it in account in the first place. Always made up my travel expenses in mission payouts, and multiple pets. *shrug*
I think I would charge someone for going with me to sample though. They always attack the thing I'm trying to sample the first time it agros on me. No matter how many I times I told them not to.
