there was a bug on TC like this you missed. all npc's and creatures were rated at CL0. since the sample cap seems to be CL75, it was no great feat to sample krayts and kimos... but since TC was running on mini-hardware at the time, it WAS a trick to FIND one to sample.
I've linked this thread a few times before, but here's one more.
since clone CL is dependent on DNA stats, and not on donor CL, this DNA can still be quite unbalancing. I was able to stick AR2 on CL86, and full experimentation from ANY high CL donor gave a straight CL128 with little variance. using ONE of these DNA with the right nonCH clone recipe would likely be... bad.

This can be done. All it takes is being in a group, getting incapped, and having the group back off. The Gorax seems to forget that he incapped you then. When you wake up, as long as you don't move, you are safe regardless of mask status. If you try to run, you are dead.
But....that still doesn't allow us to obtain a sample, and the only reason I can see for trying to stand on a Gorax's toe is for a picture of you and your buddy.
I love fighting these giants, but it is definitely a group activity.

If I had one completely greedy request to make to the devs, it would be to remove the sampling cap and bring back the days of sampling justfor fun.

No experimentation points.
You get a pet with medium armor, a stack of vulnerabilities, and a HUGE variability in HAM.
With the current CL system, it would probably weigh in at either CL 12 or CL 120. Hard to see, it is.
