TK or other combat profto survive being attacked when sampling fails or you are spotted/smelled(and TK meditateis handy forpoison disease).

Merchant to sell your wares.

Chef or Tailor to become your own supplier (higher profit margin when combined with BE).

CH to use the pets you make.

Basically theres any number of templates depending on your style. The above are just fairly common ones, and each has their advantages and disadvantages.

BE/CH/Rifleman. I can make animals and train them for my customers. I can use my animals as distraction while I'm hunting for meat to make tissues,which works great with rifleman. Now if I could only learn how to use a fishing net. I can fly in space and drive a hover car but I still have to fish with a pole.

heh you really CAN use your force deathstrike when you sample kill then....I wonder if samplekilling raises your vis? =)

I'm more of the crafting BE because I specialize in Chef Additives and Tailor Tissues. My template is geared towards operating a business as well as some of my own resource harvesting:

Novice Merchant

With this template I'm able to defend myself pretty nicely against most of the tougher mobs. I can heal myself efficiently to make up for lack of defenses or really good offense. I made myself a CL 10 tank which helps a lot too for fighting the tougher things. As for my BE business.. I have 3 vendors with a total of 750 items I can sell which is plenty for me (however it is very nice as I can store backpacks full of DNA samples on a storage vendor).
