So you wanna be a Bio Engineer, eh?

There are two main types of Bio Engineers. You should decide which way to go before you spend too many skill pts:

1. Doctor Bio Engineers

2. Scout/Ranger Bio Engineers

Doctors make the best pet stims. Pet stims equals loads of cash. Sell em cheap, and all CH:s will mail you all the time. You need access to Loads of resources (numbers might not be accurate):

18k Lokian Wild Wheat + 18k Tatooinian Fiberplast = 1000Advanced BEC

6k Talusian Water Vapor + 6k Dantooine Berry Fruit = 1000 Advanced LS

8k Chemicals + 8k Organics = 1000 Chemical Release Duration Mechanisms (you could also make Advanced CRDM if you've got the herbivore meat, but it doesn't make the stims worth it IMO)

20k? Talusian Fungus + 20k? Fiberplast + components above = almost 1000 pet stimsB

If you sell the above for 1000credits a piece you have 1 miljon credits. 1000 credits a piece should be cheap, if you make them good. (I make 750 heal power and 32 uses - 1070credits)

Why not just sell animals? Because people buy a certain number of animals, then they don't need more. Pet Stims are consumer products, and is needed all the time. Some days I sell 600 pet stims (600k)

The scout/ranger Bio engineer is better at getting DNA samples, especially the ranger - who can sample from kimogilas and Krayts.

Dangerous?

Okay here's a lil' tip.

You need:

1 - Vehicle (x34 is best since it can take more dmg)

2 - Mask Scent clothing

3 - Elite Mask scent ability

This is what you do: Lay down on the ground - mask scent - get in your vehicle - approach the MOB - if he breaks the mask scent, dismount and mask again (prone). Make sure he doesn't approach you though. - When you are masked at a range of 15m, /dismount, /SAMPLEDNA and (/select x34; pause 1)/MOUNT directly, before the sampling is finished (yes it is possible).

If the krayt or kimogila grows aggro on you, you just drive away and try again.

I haven't been able to get a viable sample, though (I am a doctor Bio Eng)- but a colleague of mine confirmed it is possible.

Horned Voritor Lizards is one of my favorites though. Nice DNA.

I think your friend is pulling your leg. You can't sample kimos OR krayts. Unless he's sampling the kimogila hatchlings (CL20) with no armor and crappy resists.
