Thread: Question BE tissues falling short of calculated values?

Hello,


I've just picked up Bioengineer, and I have a small problem. I've never crafted before, so its possible i'm doing something wrong. I have obtained the following resources:


Vagle - Correlian fungi
DR=294 FL=915 PE=994 OQ=877


Tasvohev - Dathomirian Carnivore meat

DR=866 FL=938 PE=986 OQ=702


SCIguy's chef calculator and Lantyssa's Chef Calculator (http://home.houston.rr.com/hobiewan/Seska/swg/TissueCalc.html) both say I should be hitting:


57 with my micronutrients

87 with my BSN's and

117 with my INN's


When crafting I'm only able to hit +56 Micronutrients, +86 BSNs and +117 INNs. I have a 12 point suit, so i've maxed the experimentation line. I havn't been using pyollian cake, and I've only been getting 'great' assembly sucesses.


What am I doing wrong? Will an amazing assembly make a better additive?

I tried a couple of the tissues on that site using very good resources and got 3/3 instead of 16/16 I should have gotten ... lots of the schematics have changed, and if you notice on the Tailor tissue part of that site he says:



This is woefully out of date due to the tissue changes with the CURB. Not being in-game
anymore, I find it difficult to test the specifics... feel free to mail me if you have
pertinent information. (Such as what is the absolute cap on tissues now? Previously it
was +19 [+20 with impossibly perfect resources].)



The site is just probably wrong For the most part, amazings only effect things that you experiment on that have more than one line to experiment on like Stims ...

I tried your resources and I got 56/86/117...so I think u must have put them in wrong...

My advice would be with the relatively low OQ (which counts for 50% of the calc) you substitute the 'Organic' slot for a Wood with an OQ >997. This will give you 57/87/118s, and save you some money as Wood is cheap. (If u can only get a 950+ OQ wood then its still 57/87/117s)

I notice that wood doesn't have a Flavor or PE - are those values treated as 1000 when they are missing?

They are not counted at all.
AvgPE and AvgFL (on Lantyssa's site) are calculated for BSN for example just using 45 units of resources (just Flora and Meat) and not 80 (Organic+Flora+meat)

Its a good way to bump OQ if meat and Flora have good PE and FL already (if those are crappy, then wood won't help those values.

3/3 instead of 16/16 sounds like the weak tissue type (non Master). The Tissues changed in way that now OQ(50%)-PE(30%)-FL(20%) count instead of 33% on all pre-CU.

It was always 50/30/20, just that it didn't show on schematics.
