Bio Engineer Archive
Thread: :-(
it might not have been the news we wanted, but it DOES specifically show that the devs are aware of the problems with DNA and cloning... and that a fix is in the works.
I'm continuing to document the current BioE issues, and I'll continue to present them to the devs.
EDIT: grammerz r gud.

The problems with such posts by the devs is it offers no timetable for it to be fixed. More time and effort should have gone into testing the non combat professions during the CU testing ( In fact I know it was but they ignored any bug report not related to the combat professions during beta, and still didn't fix 90% of what was reported on them ).
We want a reasonable timetable that the Devs will keep not these vague, We know posts. They've said that to smugglers for 2 years, we don't want this to drag on that long........
Yeah, I get a lot of tells and e-mail about pets too. For some reason, it seems there are more CH's now than there has been since even before the Great Pet Nerf of '03.
I even had a guildie that had respeced to BE (and since then to WS) want to give me all his DNA samples from Kashyyyk..lol. Seems when he made pets they always turned out to be CL100+.![]()

I mainly attribute that to the re-specing though, no? I mean there are a lot more bounty hunters, smugglers, commando, pistoleers, rifleman, etc then ever before too right? That's because people try on a new hat for every day of the week, lol. Most of the CH's that I knew from before the CU have given it up unfortunately. I suspect mostly is "let me re-spec to CH, (try to) buy a level 70 pet, see if I'm uber, then give it up if I'm not" types. When the respec dust settles, then we'll see where we're at.

If you are saying that I am a respec you are mistaken... I've been a BE - -- What I said is - I told someone else to respec - since they didn't believe me that Pet crafting isn't working atm...

I feel sorry for the respec'd BE's but it is sort of funny. I believe there is still time to get out if you wish to. I make animals and pet stims. I love the adventure and I can craft in the field. That's been taken away from me. I rarely log in at all anymore.
When my subscription is due in August I'll bet real money that we're still having the same conversations about borked DNA.
I didn't say you respec'd. I said I feel sorry for those that have, and many have respec'd to BE after they saw we did all the crafting. What they discovered is that it wasn't all it's cracked up to be.
I'm hanging on to my pre-curb DNAin the hopes that when animal crafting is changed, the pre-curb stuff will work again. It might also be prudent to store away some of the higher end borked DNA as well, just to see what it does after crafting is fixed. As for actually crafting animals now, I see very little point in it since specials don't show up and the to hit is wacked. I'm in wait and hope mode.
If nothing else, I've had time to explore some of the other games my friends have been playing. It could easily be argued that the curb was the best thing ever to happen to guild wars.

I'm more interested in tissues and pets, and am a patient person.I'm having a blast as a MBE/MCH/Novice Carbineer/Scout 4-0-4-0, even with pets borked. Speaking of which, has anyone tested them on TC? I should look for other posts regarding them, as I can't be on TC for more than 5 minutes without my pc locking up
I've been trying to test, but I can't be on TC-bria for more than 5 minutes without my jaw locking up.
