I've noticed post-CU that I'm only being asked for INN's. At first I thought it was just because of new various Food popularity. However, it's most likely cause there are 4-4 BE's out there who can supply the other nutrients or schematics. /shrug

Interesting take on the request. I never thought that was why people ask masters only for INN's. It makes perfect sense however. Why would a chef spend all those extra skill points just to make one product, INN's? 0404 is perfect for a chef as long as you can get a master BE to up-chuck a few INN schematics once in a while.

I'm afraid you're right

well we called it as soon as those changes were made known in the beta forums and sure enough looks like we were right...an 0404 chef, aside from being able to make his own BSNs and MNSs, which are a lot more useful now that some of the smaller chef schems like teltier, blob, caf and kanali are popular, they can also branch out into medicines, since they already deal with a lot of organics, and offer both on their vendors.

We did call it didn't we?
On an up note, I'm surprise how many people actually respec'd to master and the amount of interest people are taking in animal crafting. I hope they stick with it long enough to see the DNA stats adjusted and working correctly. Animal crafting is what sets BE apart from all other professions.

I was 2-2-2-2 BE on my alt when the CU landed. Since Sisae has no combat, I respec'd Rimy to MBE and am having so much fun with it (bugs and all) that I'm definitely sticking with it. To be honest, I'm really not making any money with it.. so far making tissues/meds/pets for friends. When that cools down, I'll work harder on some sales I suppose. It's just a fun profession, and I recently respec'd to MBE/MCH... now I'm having TOO much fun

As a chef (who has no BE skills) I see your problem, and I really don't know why the devs decided that 0004 is enough for 10 points, its just not right, no other crafting prof - with the exception of Artisan - has full exp points without master.
Perhaps they'll change it in the future - but perhaps even with 8 exp points it might be enough for Tissues, if you get some Amazing successes - and if not, a +10 suit should be enough. I somehow fear they won't change it though, the devs seem to want to "simplify" the whole game.
And actually 0304 would be enough for most chefs, if I'm not mistaken that would be enough for BSN - they'll only miss heavy filling and quantity tissues (and those are really not used often)

I've actually found myself supplying one of my server's well known chefs with Micros and BSNs. Either she wanted to use the SP elsewhere, or my pricing is right.
