Thread: Harvesting meat for BE stats
- something with OQ > 900 PE > 700 FL > 500
- something with OQ > 500 PE > 700 FL > 900
- OQ > 800 PE > 900 FL > 900
Because I don't know that I'm going to be able to find meat like that all the time ![]()
Thanks in advance,

(...)So I'm guessing that actually I can solve these two sets of equations to find the breakpoint for when it isn't worth using a lower OQ meat/flora food based on not having enough PE/FL to offset it.Hope i got the scheme right - doing this from memory ... I suppose that really answers my question huh?Thank youMessage Edited by Dorelli on 05-24-2005 09:41 AM
Youre welcome
Yup, thats how I would do it. But generally speaking, if all resources have OQ/PE/FL then you can just use (50 OQ + 30 PE + 20 FL) per resource and use the one with the highest value. If one of the resources you use doesnt have PE or FL, the corresponding weight for that stat on the other resources gets increased.
I am also using wood for the generic oranic resource in MNS, BSN, INN crafting. I ran the formulas out and the new weightings I am using (for swgcraft searches) is:
OQ 166, PE 150, FL 100
This is because the formula for the weighting of flora/meat breaks down to OQ/6 + 3PE/20 + FL/10
This will work for all of the 3 products listed above when using wood as the generic organic...
Because the wood has no flavor or PE, those stats play a larger role in the meat. If you use wood with a very high OQ, your meat doesn't have to be top notch in the OQ department. It does have to have a very good PE and FL however.
If you have a choice, you're still better off going with the better meat. You may need it later or in something else that doesn't use wood. If you have no choice and have to harvest the lesser quality meat, make sure your wood has a very high OQ.
