Thread: Creatures going Argo
I have two different hotkeys I interchange into the same hotkey slot when sampling
If I have my pets with me, I have a hotkey that stops following, hits my self-heal hotkey, and then hits my two pet attack hotkeys. I typically have my pets out when fighting higher level stuff that is likely to team up on my and / or gives good meat when killed so I can at least turn sampling gone wrong into meat collection.
If I do not have my pets with me, I have a differnt hotkey I put in the same slot that stops following, hits my self-heal hotkey, targets my X34 landspeeder, and mounts it.
I put the stop follow in there because my sampel macro includes a follow so I dont have to worry about where my target decides to wander to while I am sampling. I use an X34 landspeeder instead of a speeder bike becasue it is more durable so it decays a lot less while I have it sitting out waiting on my while I sample away.
Of course, I am an armorless wookie so a good 25% of the time, I will take 2 or 3 hits before my pets take aggro or I can get in my landspeeder and the I still fall down. The worst is when I take that incap hit just as I was getting in the vehicle so I watch the vehicle race off about 20m after I fall out of it. Grrrr.
This is also a good question for the enhancements arguement? Does one have to carry the "Scout skill-Mask Scent" to benefit fromenhanced, Mask Scent clothing? I'm curious.....Does one have to possess the "Mask Scent" skill identified with "Exploration 2"? I seean indication in your post thatyou do, in fact, haveat least the basic scout skills. However, to become Master BE, of which you already are, it does not require any "Exploration skills" from the scout tree. Of course, any BE worth their clone insurance, will leteveryoneknowhowvery helpful thispart of the Scout tree is to us.
As far as the Jawa Beer, I drink it for the fun of it....hehe. Someone from this forum, with far more knowledge than I, is invited to explain the mysteries of skill modifers and enhancements. Please do tell. ![]()
Yup, you need to have the basics ina skill to benafit from the skill enhancements.
You cannot use the mask scent ability unless you have the Scout Exploration II (where you get the skill).
In the same manner, a non CH cannot start taming things by wearing taming clothes as they don't posess the base skill.
I do get a heck of a lot of aggro...lately aggro creatures have been attacking me without breaking my scentmask, and before I've even had a chance to sample!
