Thread: Enhanced Myoflex Questions

you don't have to get off your speeder to collect eggs. just ride around and press ~ and then 3 (search lair). you can do this while hitting all the POI on a planet. should have a nice big stack after doing so.
LOL, you are kidding right?? When I say 4 days, I mean 4 full days not just a couple hours a day. Lairs give you at best 15 eggs, and that is a really good lair, usually you get 5-10 per lair... and if I wanted to waste my time speeding around a planet all day doing nothing but collecting eggs, that'd be great, but also a huge chunk of change I would charge.
What would you charge for a Ball Gown if it required you to drive around a planet all day and do nothing else to make 15 of them? Get my point? It isn't like dropping a harvester on fiberplast and forgeting about it all day.
My time is worth a lot. Considering I could be hunting for Dath Avian and making 80cpu right now, which is far more profitable than driving around looking for lairs to jack eggs from.
Tell you what, come to radiant and od this for me, and when I give you 40cpu for any stack over 500, tell me its worth your time.

Do you have better egg gathering strategies, if so what are they?

You asked for advice on egg gathering strategies and were given some. There really was no need to go off on the person who responded toYOUR request.
Anyway, I think 6K per tissue is a pretty fair price. I would maybe even go a little higher than that.
Anyone know what the cap is on the basic myoflex tissue? Can you hit +13 with that if you have good resources? If you can, I would suggest forgetting about the eggs and just making the basic tissue.

Yeah I suppose you are right, after rereading my second post it was rather rude and uncalled for.
that is a valid strategy, but not as easy or effective as the author made it sound. I guess I blew up b/c I saw the person was a tailor, and doesn't quite understand the problems with eggs.
If Ican hit the +13 with the regular believe me I would, but I don't think you can.
Here's a little tip on collecting eggs that I just discovered. Get 2 missions as close together as possible. If you are lucky, maybe about 300-500m apart. You can go to Dantooine and get the Huurton Pack Lairs, so that you can sample DNA at the same time. Of course it is best to go where the eggs are of the highest quality. I stay on my Speederbike, as I have no combat skills, so it is safer and faster. Seach the lair at one, then go to the other and search. Repeat. Repeat. As long as they are mission lairs, they will reset every time you go over 150m away.
Yes, this is still slow going to get a large stack. I think 6K forthe +13 tissues is fair, and there is probably a market at that price. Remember that you need at least +13 on most tissues, so that 2 tissues will give the maximum bonus of +25.
Hope this is helpful!

I was not aware they reset... that isn't a bad idea actually... mayhaps I will try that in the future... and its nice to see people agree on 6k a tissue for them. Do most of you sell your other tissues for 3k?
Most of us BE's sell tissues by the plus (+) of enhancement. Like a Melee/Stun Defense (Tensile Strength) tissue would be a +5/+15....a decent tissue right? Sell it like this (+15 x 350cr = 5,250cr/total) for the tissue. Always sell the higher (+) on a tissue
. Basically, I charge 350 credits per(+) of enhancement on all my tissues. That's my personal price. I have tailors buying it left and right so, you may be able to get a little more for it.
As far as the eggs go...well, you can add a sur charge for this particular tissue if you need to. Let your tailors know what it takes to make certain tissues and some will try to accomodate you with there own materials. This works out great too.Generally, Iwill give a 10% discount per tissue, for each resource that is provided. Say the Enhanced Myoflex takes...let me think...hehe...oh yeah...Scaley Hide, Eggs, Cretaure Food and Wood..someone can correct me on this...I'm not in game and just can't remember off the top of my head. Anyway, for each of these resources that a tailor can provide, I give a10% discount....40% discount total if, all 4 resources are provided. Many tailors have a whole guild to bother for resources and can usually supply you with what you need.
I have found that I can still make a pretty good profit using this system too.
Good luck to ya...and may the force be with ya ![]()

You are right by the way.
Oh and Cookie, I saw that thread on Rad. Trade. Did you really get 150K for a crate of 25?
Actually I sold it to em for 120k, which is about 4k a tissue. I was only able to get them to +12/+12. But had they been higher it would have been a higher price. I felt bad not being able to get +13/+13.
I guess the important thing about tailor tissues is that most outfits require 2 sets of 2 identical cloths. And even though you put two tissues in the same slot, you only get the bonus of 1. So a like a leku wrap, to get +25/+25 requires 4 tissues... but they only have to be in sets of 2 (3 if you include schematic set which means 4 total b/c be has to make a schematic of tissue too) Thats at best, if all 4 are identical 6 tissues for one leku wrap. Thats a lot of tissue to enhance clothing. That is 90 eggs, if you only have to make one try on schematic. It may be easier to make crates based on need per outfit.
A large crate is more efficient with egg use, but also requires a larger stack of eggs, which is the catch. B/c Eggs are not easy to come by. While the rest of our tissues are fairly easy to do, eggs are not.
Thanks for all the response and again sorry bout my post earlier it was a bit out of line.
Keep the ideas and thoughts coming... I am still working out pricing, these tissues seem to be the exception to what price sheme I have going.
This is actually not correct. Only a very small subset of tailor schematics are like this, and of those that are, very few are "practical" in terms of the number of tissues that are used to achieve that +25. As I tailor, I find that very few entertainers actually have any interest in such bonuses to begin with. But for those that do, it's an afterthought and fashion always is the most important thing. A doctor will always come to a tailor and say "give me an outfit that has the most bonuses, let me know what options I have". Many times when you try to explain options they actually just dismiss it and say "give me something in black, I don't care what, only the bonuses matter". Entertainers are the exact opposite. "I want this kind of skirt, with this kind of blouse, in these colors, and oh by the way can you put any tissues in that, that enhance my dancing?". So I would say without a doubt, from a tailor's perspective, the single bonus strength on myoflex is the thing, while on active bio sensors anything about +13 is gravy.

I am probably wrong about most, and I totally believe you about dancers vs docs.. makes tons of since... A few select dancers care about being able to zap wounds in no time at all, bbtu very few I have met. I guess it was just the clothes I was playing with that had the sets of cloth.
Thanks for the input, and I agree most tailors are ok wth the cheaper tissues for dancing but not doc stuff... which is fine, but some still want the high bonuses, and those people will probably be willing to pay the extra price to get what they want, I know I would be
