Do BE creatures even have this? or are they all special resists? I don't have the ability to tame my creatures anymore so I can't actually check. Even CL10 I can't do because I'm attached to some of the old pets in my datapad.
When I look at the stats of creatures I create, it all seems like a big mishmash of different numbers. I'm just wondering if it is possible to 'lose' a 'special' resist, and turn it back into an 'effective' resist. I can boost a vulnerability by raising the special resist, but I can never lose that special can I?
I think that an important part of the CL equation may lie with a high 'effective' resist that may not even be visible. For example, an animal may have 30% effectiveness, like many high CL creatures have, but this effectiveness may be completely masked over by vulnerabilities or specials, resulting in a CL boost that has no benefits. Does anyone know anything about this? I wonder how much effectiveness has to do with CL. It may be wise to ensure that this is zero, and put the specials where you need them.

The only way you can get an 'effective' resist in your clone is if there aren't *any* special protections on *any* of the DNA samples for that stat. The max effective resist you can get into that stat will be beased on the average effectives from the 5 samples for that stat.
Hope that makes sense.

I wonder how specials and the effective resist affect the cl. All else being the same, I wonder if I achieved all specials at 30%, or no specials but effective at 30%, what would the difference in CL be. The impact of effectiveness naturally depends on how much it's used, so if you have three vulns and four specials, effectiveness would provide very little benefit at perhaps much CL cost.
