I've had Master BE on one of my characters for a month of so now. At first the purpose was to be able to make the tissues that the guild needed for food and clothing, but now I'm interested in a new task. I want to make some non-CH pets that me and my guildmates can use in PvP. I'm not talking about tanks here, I'm looking to make cheap shot pets. I want the HAM to be decent so they don't get one shotted down before they even get to do their dirty work, but the main goal of these pets would be to state opponents. I've read the guides by Tal-N and they are very helpful. I am planning on trying to collect some samples this weekend and see what I can throw together, but I thought I'd see if any of you had come up with some good recipes that might head me in the right direction. I don't know if you can really get these special attacks on a CL 10 or lower pet, but my I figured there's no harm in trying. So basically I'm looking to make pets with decent HAM and Knockdown, Dizzy, Blind, Intimidate, or Stun attacks. Possibly even strong poison, but I didn't think low enough level creatures had that. Also, I'm not certain if any of these pets can do these states with their ranged attacks? I found some that have ranged attacks that have the specials I would like, but I didn't know if that special was the ranged attack or not. Anyways, any info would be great. I'll add to this thread after I do some of my own expirementing.

it's not that hard if you base it off of the voritor dasher combo
just use something besides the huurton pups (but still low-lvl) and you'll be fine
i'm not going to hold your hand, one of the coolest thing about BE is finding out recipes that work
but i'll give you a hint..... start collecting low-lvl DNA from mobs outside of dantooine and find some with specials
or you could try out www.swgcreatures.com and browse the creature lists

One important decision you need to make is if these pets are to use the specials on command, or just as an added bonus. (They will be much more effective if on command, but maybe you don't have time for that.)
If on command:
1) Knockdown, poisons and diseases do not work on command. Don't bother unless it happens to be an "extra" special.
2) Dizzy/Cripple is a good substitute for dizzy/knockdown considering (1). This pet also doubles as a helper against NPCs for PvE.
3) Stun/Intimidate give a total 70% damage reduction. (These add together, not apply one then the other which would be only 60%.)
4) Specials do work for ranged pets. Their accuracy is pretty bad until they get around 20 meters though.

knockdown has never worked for me, but poison and disease seem to work on command for me...go figure!

I forget the name of the creature, but I think the big guy on Talus with 100% stun resistance might have a place in one of these PvP creatures.
