Also swgcreatures.com is a great website to use when searching for creatures with particular specials.

..and perhaps I missed the info I'm looking for.
Can someone recommend me to a post or website that outlines what affects what on creature combination. I read that the quality of resources used is irrelevant.. So I imagine it all comes down to the DNA samples you use? Which tissues yield what specials, how do I raise up or bring down the CL of a pet (weak kimo, killer jax, etc).

Specials come from the donor's usually the DNA you use in slots 4 and 5 will determine the specials you get (assuming you're using HQ or VHQ DNA) its slightly more complicated than that but just for starters its s good guideline.
The CL is based on the stats of the template - it has nothing to do with the skins - though some have minimum levels, (all this info is in the FAQ btw)
