Thread: What creatures to Sample to work through Sampling 1-4

That text made my eyes hurt....
Yard trash (Newbie spawn critters) until you have completed sampling 2.
The FAQ and others then advise doing Piket Longhorns until Sampling 4 is finished.
If you're in a hurry, that's probably the best way.
I did Sampling 3 and 4 by just wandering round poking everything big I found, and taking 3K mission on Tatooine for Banthas and such.

I would say it depends on your combat level. I started BE as a TKM and was sampling Gaint Sand Beattles, Dragonets, and Tusken Banthas (things in my backyard) on box 1. I was landing 4/5 samples and i finished that tree first. By box 3 and 4 I was sampling (and sometimes having to kill) Mutant Rancors, Frenzied Boar Wolves and that group.
In short.. sample what your not afraid of.

I did box fore mainly with bolle bols and fambaas since I live on Naboo. But found it better to go to Endor and sample Arachnae Drones (390-ish XP) and Bark Mite Burrower Drones (500-somehtingish)
Arachnae Drones will easily spawn in mission terminals and the Bark Mites are rather plentifull on endor. Getting Bolle Bols and Fambaas to spawn on naboo is up to luck.
At Master Carbineer with a CL 12 pet out I can't get anything beyond Plains Tusk Cats and Gungan Encampments.

If you feek up to it, after you get sample 2, try dathomir. Most creatures there give good xp, but stick with things like bolmas, malklocs, baz nitch, and if you really feel good about it, kamuriths. Wait till sample 4 for rancors.

I am currently 4414 in BE and would like to know what creatures to sample to work my way through to master.Where can I find these?This is my last holo and I am trying to get it done by Tues server reset. Thanks for any help you can give.

If you have scouting 4-0-4-0 and a vehicle I would say go to Endor, Mask scent, and Sample everything that lets you. Of course keep the bike handy in case the agro you. then Just flee, and sample the next thing. Did box 2-3-4 in about a day.

I think... i cant remember the exact numbers on novice or DNA 1 but the others were accurate (writing from work so can check the novice/DNA1 when i get home if needed.
Using those figures your best bet would be to use SWGcreatures site and find what creatures are best for your level.
I personally am doing BE again now and am back upto DNA 3 atm, i did trash creatures through DNA 1/2, then for DNA3 i did pickets on dantooine (CL30) and DNA 4 im doing Seething Bol Crushers (CL44) both are on mission terminals

i personally sampled junk creatures until 2 or 3 (went to pikets at 2 and was still taking to long so went back) after 3 though pikets were really good and alot less fails

The grinding part was easy for me. I went 4404 in one day then the DNA sampling took me 4 days. DNA sampling 1 & 2 are the hardest. Sample small creatures outside Coronet, Theed, Mos Espa, etc. Once you get to DNA Sampling III head to dantooine and do Pickets. 246xp each and you will start to get 2-4 samples per creature. You can also sample Milk and get the mission rewards for some nice cash.
