Tired of sampling dna from creatures and see it has area plague or poison spitting ect but when you actually make the pet or dna template the area attack didnt stick. All ranged professoins and most melee have some type of area attack why can't pets have area attacks also the only way to get a pet with area attack is to tame a rare baby of a creature that has a area attack. Why can a natural pet have this ability and not a Bio Engineer made pet? I know they gave Bio Engineer a great fix but why did they nerf our ability to make Medium armor pets and pets with any type of area attack? They sure haven't nerfed combat medic who I have seen throw poison and disease from up to 120m away no ranged or melee class can even touch them at this range or even a turrent so why cant a BE make a pet with some type of ranged attack and medium armor. If they are trying to balance the game then this should help a lot.

Honestly I'm surprised area attacks are on natural pets. Plague strike was removed from player pets once already because it was overpowered. I think the fact that it remains on these new natural pets is a testament to just how overpowered players have become compared to pets.

guess we just have to sit back and wait for the combat rebalance and see what happens. here's hoping ch doesnt get screwed over (again), cuz when they do, we do. especially those of us thatare ch. lol

well by most accounts CH is going to be improved simply because pets arent going to be nerfed, while the combat classes are.I think, as BEs, this is going to mean an explosion in the nonCH tank market as all the combat classes wont be immortal with their armor buffs and brandy anymore =)
