Thread: what increases dmg?

Hello bio guru's,

Ok so i have been racking my brain trying to figure out how to increase DMG, i dont care about HAM or resists, im only trying to increase dmg with the "new" clone system. With the old style i didnt really have a problem, and still have an old rancor with 650-660(650-662)dmg which i have NOT been able to even get close to with our new clone system.

im familiar with aggression and power, however does anyone have any input has to how DMG is actually calculated, which slots besides aggression (if any) are also factored in? Is there another direct way to increase dmg besides experimentation on aggressiveness?

I have read the FAQ's and a few guides, but they dont seem very specific and since im not a math major, some of the formulas make no sense to me.

So if anyone can shed some light as to how to accomplish higher dmg with a pet please feel free to open school on me.

Thanks,

The notes I have say power is composed of these percentages from slots:

Physique (17%), Prowess (16%), Mental (8.5%), Psych (16.5%), Aggression (42%).

Seiryuu,

yes i have read your post, however any chance you could provide a quick example. im not sure what you mean by the percentages? is that a "total" then multiplied by your % to get results? Are those percentages meaning its using that amount from that slot from the "power" number?

Sorry if i dont make sense, i just think your percent numbers are abit too general and not detailed enough for me to make sense out of it.

This is correct.

Talthazar,

Ok i see its the percent off "power" from every slot. so in theory by placing highest power followed by next highest in each slot according to the percentages AND then experiment all points into aggression "should" provide me with higher DMG as opposed to if i just placed DNA in slots according to hardiness+fort in its own slot and so on?

anyway i think i finally understand, thank you!

Yes that is also correct.

That may no longer be accurate. I'm not sure how but I made a 23 Bantha with low ham, no armor, almost no resists and does 480-490 damage. First generation too. (I think its 23, I can't remember but I do have it in my datapad as my mount.) If the damage was calculated from those stats, it could not have been that high because those stats you mentioned were really low on this Bantha.

I only know the forumla as listed in the FAQ. I have not tried to derive it myself.

What I do know is that almost all my first generation clones have a damage rating close to the average CL of what I put in. Because my DNA choices are usually fairly close in CL, that isn't very surprising though.
