Thread: MOUNTS
I ran some tests today, using the various mounts in my inventory, running over a distance of about 1 km, and timing each try.
EVERY mount traveled at exactly the same speed at its normal running (non-gallop) pace -- 2 minutes, 15 seconds to cover 1km (2:15).
On gallop, I got the following results:
- Spats, Kaadus = 1:30
- Dewbacks,Bols= 1:45
- Falumpaset, Brackaset, Humbaba = 2:00
For comparison, I ran and then burstrun the same distance on foot:
- Normal running = 3:10
- With /burstrun to start = 2:26

currently all non-ch can callcl15 and lower mounts. when the december patch comes out non-ch will only be able to call cl10 pets/mounts.
you gotta pay to play
Nice Job.
I ran did this for myself on the test center and got the same results (cloes enough). It does seem like the over all speed has been increased from what it was on the TC, but the % are pretty much dead-on.

Gallop? is there a command you can issue to get your mount to speed up? Also, you do have any additional terrain negotiation other than Scout?
i have to add 2 thinks
there is an lvl 10 or lower version of all mountable Pet.. most of them are new , but all are prette commen if you know where to look, also you can get missions for lairs
and then there is one additional point to the run speed , it seems for me a mountain drewback has some exploration skills... it is the fastest if u run with it in hills, i did not a test like this .. but it is easy to set up one...
so If you are a CH and often in mountain regions take a mounten drewback..
according all other situations I also prefer my giant carrion spat.. and I have a backaset for few moments I will fight mounted as an cavallerie soldier... it is not easy to take one of this down and you has a great overview over the area
Giant Carrion Spats can be trained as mounts as soon as you tame them. They do not need to grow at all. It is the only mount that I have seen so far that can be trained right away.
