If AMERICA outlaws hog hunting the last true test for bulldogs will be gone. They have already outlawed bull baiting and pit fighting. If AMERICA loses its bulldogs AMERICA will lose its courage and will be its downfall!!!!

I ran some tests today, using the various mounts in my inventory, running over a distance of about 1 km, and timing each try.

EVERY mount traveled at exactly the same speed at its normal running (non-gallop) pace -- 2 minutes, 15 seconds to cover 1km (2:15).

On gallop, I got the following results:

- Spats, Kaadus = 1:30

- Dewbacks,Bols= 1:45

- Falumpaset, Brackaset, Humbaba = 2:00

For comparison, I ran and then burstrun the same distance on foot:

- Normal running = 3:10

- With /burstrun to start = 2:26

cheers,

Nice Job.

I ran did this for myself on the test center and got the same results (cloes enough). It does seem like the over all speed has been increased from what it was on the TC, but the % are pretty much dead-on.

Gallop? is there a command you can issue to get your mount to speed up? Also, you do have any additional terrain negotiation other than Scout?

i have to add 2 thinks

there is an lvl 10 or lower version of all mountable Pet.. most of them are new , but all are prette commen if you know where to look, also you can get missions for lairs

and then there is one additional point to the run speed , it seems for me a mountain drewback has some exploration skills... it is the fastest if u run with it in hills, i did not a test like this .. but it is easy to set up one...

so If you are a CH and often in mountain regions take a mounten drewback..

according all other situations I also prefer my giant carrion spat.. and I have a backaset for few moments I will fight mounted as an cavallerie soldier... it is not easy to take one of this down and you has a great overview over the area

Giant Carrion Spats can be trained as mounts as soon as you tame them. They do not need to grow at all. It is the only mount that I have seen so far that can be trained right away.

There are a couple on the bazzar on tatooine, an epoie etc

But ask other players, use the /yell anyone selling a mount etc...

Also if you go into your datapad and click on the vendors or shops i think its title it will bring up listed shops on your planet, then right click set waypoint, activate it under waypoints - follow and buy!

You will most likely not find any mounts in the Bazaar because of the 3000 credit maximum that one can charge for an item. The speeder bikes usually cost 20 to 35k although I have seen players at the Theed starport shouting that they are selling theirs for 15k. There are also rideable animal mounts and for those you would need to either seek out a Creature Handler or a Beast Engineer. To locate one, click the planetary map icon. This icon can be found amongst the row of icons on the lower right of your screen. It is the icon to the left. Search the planet using the buttons on the right first going to Vendors and then either profession I have listed above. I have been known to give away tamed Kaduu's as a little baby and then told the player to have a CH mount train them once it was of sufficient level. If you do this, the pet will be a whimp but it will at least be a mount. If you want a mount that is actually useful in combat, BE's are working hard to create good level 10 pets since any player can use up to a lvl 10 pet without CH skills. Some of these lvl 10 pets can be mount trained and have enough HAM (Health, Action, and Mind) to survive in combat for a while. Please post again if you need further information and welcome to the game!
