I was afraid of that.
Those aren't research data, those are just datapads with random bits of history, story fluff or humour in them. They aren't meant to be used in the data slot and they don't provide any bonuses. They are just there for entertainment.
Thanks all the same, though.

BE was originally the farmer class, i.e. domesticated animals, harvested flora etc etc. Changed last minute because it was crap. Added bio-engineer, wanted to keep their options open but also keep to a deadline so they put the brown slot in just in case it was needed later. Considered low priority, wont be in live any time soon.

You might as well ask about Skill tapes for us too.... LOL
I have heard the research data exists but it is invisiable and has not had the skin coded at the moment.... hmmm....
Oh well... But I would love an additive experimention tape!! Everyone else has one .. waaawaaa (Just kidding... or am I??)

/eek.. please no tapes. bio engineer... the one profession where the uber rich cant buy their way into market dominance and EVERYONE is on the same playing field in regards to crafting.

They didn't add it because BE is too UBER, they will probably be nerfing us in the combat reblance. That's why they want us to burn our skill points on artisan and business 3 so that we won't have enough to use on more combat skills, we are too UBER.
Now TKM's those wussies, they could use some skill takes. (by skill tapes I mean tape to tie their arms to their bodies, even then they could probably still take down an enraged rancor in under 10 seconds.)

There were rumors that someone found it and made +500 brandy but serious doubts arose and out of all the players in the game, no one else has come up with it. So I would have to say NO it is not here yet.

Probably the research data is low on the priority for the Devs. I'd expect to see it either come out after the combat upgrade or disappear completely (if they decide that it is too unbalancing to have).

LOL....yeah....the guy who claimed to have found it got owned by Tiggs. She bluntly stated that it was NOT infact true, and then locked the thread. ROFL.

Wasn't there a statement by Thunderheart something to the effect of "there are one or two pieces of SRD in-game". Something like that recently that made me think that it was actually there at one point, but no longer. I don't know for certain - perhaps ithappened inone of those all-too-frequent SWG grinding dreams
