I really must have missed that then. I thought it was still a pre req to have All lines of Master Marksman to get BH. I'm ol'skool like most of you out there. I came back and my friend said we didn't need all of scout anymore, so that left some SP free, but I didn't know about the not needing every line of Master Marskman. So can someone just tell me what exactly is the pre req now for BH Novice? I appreciate your help. Wow. I really did miss a lot!

from memory from marksmen you just need up to ranged 4 and from scout exploration 4 and thats it

Novice BH needs Marksman xxx4 and Scout 4xxx. 2 starter profession lines, same as any other elite combat profession.

I am a lvl 8 BE sampling from other lvl 8 creatures. I was sampling from lvl 8 and lvl 9 creatures at novice and my success rate started to drop the closer i crept up on getting DNA Sampling 1. I finally got DNA sampling 1 and spent about 10 minutes on one lvl 8 rock mite trying to get a sample until finally it aggroed and had to sick my bot on it. Its frustrating that most of my targets have been wasted because they keep aggroing me and dont get samples. this happens more often the more i try to sample. in fact i've had DNA sampling 1 since last night and i still haven't gotten a "viable sample". if there is ne advice and at this point comfort would be of some help too.

What your problem here is is the level of the creature you're trying to sample, sampling DnA is NOT dependant on your level, it is dependant on your skills, if you are only novice BE then you should be sampling CL1 to 3ish yard trash and so forth (cant remember exactly atm but there is a list on the faq in the sticklies, try there) CL8 is well above the ability of your skills.
