Thread: What would you do?

Today I had an encounter with two bounty hunters. One of which had their AT-ST out. The at-st had been on patrol in front of the cantina for most of the day. And I had seen these 2 guys come and go from the cantina through out the day. Well I was at the mission terminal grabbing my normal missions when all of the sudden, the at-st starts firing, and I have a ranged and a melee bounty hunter on me.
So the first thing i started after was the AT-ST, doing my flurry attack because I only have one good saber (4 good crystals rather) and I had it in my one handed at the time. With this heal lag and 3 on you at one time, it was getting pretty rough, I got the at-st down to half health and noticed my force bar was at a fourth. So I had to pop a holocron to regen my force. So I knew that taking the remainder of that at-st out would drain my force again, not to mention these 2 bounty hunters on me at once.
So I start my peace macro and begin to run toward my safe house (which was 350m away). They follow me and keep trying to take me down. One of them had gotten on his speeder to catch up with me, i dumped my macro and destroyed his bike, then began to run some more. I managed to get into some water and let my TEF run off. So with them on the edges of the water waiting for me to get out, i swam to the shore and tried to force run, however I get knocked down and dizzy, along with the at-st hitting me. Luckily I stood up and force run kicked in and I managed to make it into my safe house.
Then, one of the bh's started sending tells to my alt character. They went something like: "You suck, you will die, I hate you, I hate you, Your a newb Jedi, Jedi's dont run, you b***h, fight me 1v1." Just spamming this to me tell after tell. I did not provoke this, if Jedi weren't supposed to run, then why do we have force run? And the whole thing about 1v1, why did he have a bh friend along with the AT-ST if he wanted a 1v1 battle.
Was I in the wrong here for running? I made an effort to defend myself and saw that I wasn't going to make it much longer so I fleed. I reported this guy for continues spam of tells and calling me a "b***h" in a tell. Just wanted everyones opinion on this type of situation, and what you would do?
Please, i'm not asking for a flamewar so please, dont post here if you plan on starting one.

the BH was for slipping into the tells and taunting you

Nice job escaping. You did the right thing...staying to fight when you can't win when you can get away is just silly. Don't let the taunts get to you. If the cowardly b*tch wanted a 1v1 he wouldn't have attacked with a friend and an AT-ST

That's what I'm saying. I was laughing at the matter while in game because I knew that it had ticked him off severly. And I think that they shouldn't be able to use their faction pets on Jedi hunts. When did you ever see Boba Fett or Jango Fett use a damn AT-ST to assist him?
I'm pretty sure I'll be hunted continuously the next couple of days. I hope they turn out to the good side like today.

wow Jedi can't be that weak if one can live against an AT-ST and a Melee and Ranged BH !?! - I'm not saying they're uber but too many people try to claim Jedi are weak !
In over 7 years of pvp in Ultima Online the only time I ever encountered a player killer want to 1v1 was when they were outnumbered.
Never did a gang of 12 on 1 or 2 stop and ask for a 1v1.
Just ignore tells and like the other post when they know they can't goad you into a losing situation they'll get bored and stop.

I was holding up pretty well against the AT-ST, the ranged and the melee bh. Although healing myself and using a 19fc saber (not any good crystals yet) I was getting my force drained pretty quickly. I wish I would have killed the at-st lol. That would have hurt them alot.

I still consider myself weak even though I am MLS, 4003 Healer, 2002 Enhancer, 1000 Defender. Because I haven't actually done alot of dueling with other people. Not to mention having an AT-ST right on top of me.

You did the right thing, sounds like you did it very well too. Take thier attitude with a grain of salt, you're going to see more of it. And BTW Obi-won and Qui-Gon in episode I utilized the Force Run against those droidetka.

Exactly my piont.
He also called me an Exploiter.
Now I'm sure some of you have come across this. Your trying to heal yoruself when you get low and due to the heal lag, you get incapped but then the heal takes effect and you get up. This is what happened to me once. Although he didn't start spamming this until I had reached my safe house.
I know it must have ticked him of when he was standing in my guild hall door and i was rolling on the floor laughing at him. lol

Do whatever you need to do to survive until your template is complete.
I never run from the BH who outsmarts me, but fighting a wrecking crew seems silly, especially loudmouthed kids who think that you exist to satisfy them. Thankfullythe new TEF systemis moreabout skills and guile.
If they want you badly enough make them work for it

They nearly got me, quite a few times actually. I'm just glad that I got the rejuvenation IV skill. I will log on tonight late and start grinding again and will get about half way through the heall states box (xxx4). I'm currently sitting at about 450k or so.
Hopefully those toons will be logged off by then, its a school night ya know
