The basic problem here is milk and eggs are way too common in many recipies for the rarity they presently enjoy in the game. If they scrapped farmer which made these common but did not revise recipies, then it is time to do so.

The solution for milk would be to put 'milk' as an option for any mammal female. Players would then milk docile pets. There should also be a creature specific timer for milking. A herd of the same species should prduce the same milk.

For eggs the nest search is the only way I know of now for them. It makes sense, but it is way too rare. You get a few units of eggs maybe if you dont pull butterflies or something else out of the random jumble of a nest. Birds nests should have eggs! Same goes for reptiles. This random business of pulling various interior decorating objects out of nests should go.

If they implement real world creature storehouses, those should produce eggs.

Milk is such a huge point of contention I can understand why tempers run so high. The original post was about a character selling huge quanties of milk for next to nothing. Complete insanity unless the items were duped and the character wanted to dump the milk before he got caught. It's the only thing that makes sense.

The milk harvester or bio-thingy sounds neat but why go to the trouble of creating new machinery when SOE could just include milk in the flora farm menu. Who says "milk" has to be from an animal anyway. We make milk products in RL from vegetable matter all the time.

As far as who believes what (which seems to be the driving force in this thread) all I can say is who cares. I say something exists doesn't mean in any way, shape, or form that people have to believe me. People walk around everyday claiming a higher power. Doesn't mean that higher power exists. People claim to have seen aliens with their own eyes. Doesn't mean otherpeople aren't going to ask them to see a psychiatrist. Calling someone a liar is pretty harsh. The best thing to say is "I don't believe you" and leave it at that. If you want to prove it exists then do so. If you're not willing to do that then stop ranting about it.

Soy & Rice milk! That would be a really good idea for a new Chef recipe. Made from, obviously, beansor rice. And water. So it'd only work in the generic Milk slots, rather than those that require domesticated or herbivore milk. But it'd be a nice bone to be thrown.

And yes, Bio-Harvesters once existed. They were removed. It would be nice if they were re-introduced in some form. Milk and eggs as they are currently available are pointless. Even eggs. I search every lair I pass, and the biggest stack of eggs I have is 77. I will not pay the exorbitant prices I've seen on the bazzar. I won't even pay more than 6 cpu for meat. Anyone charging more than that is, in my never-humble opinion, taking advantage of the situation. Suppy & Demand only works as long as the customer base is willing to be bent over a barrel with no lube, and that doesn't include me. I buy what's reasonably priced, or hunt for it myself. But I digress.

As closely linked as Bio-Engineers are with Chefs already, I think a little more wouldn't hurt. Besides, Chefs need milk, too. So I really think they should get a recipe for a component item, Soy Milk or Rice Milk. Not that anyone who might be able to effect such a change will ever bother. It's not that I'm jaded and bitter or anything, but...wait...yes, it is.

There all screenshots of milk canisters of other servers, but I are have yet nothing seen on Eclipse. Consequently as someone milk finds take than what kind of me with, I pay for it gladly. "

Milk shouldn't be a drop it should be a harvestable resource. Like sampling DNA. Domestic animals would be the animals that would be milkable. Like a domestic eopie for example. And when milking the animal has chance of agro and so on no death tho. Unless you seen "kung pao enter the fist". The animal would eventually run out of milk. Then you could kill it and get the meat. I don't think a plasma thief dropping milk is reasonable. He should drop some cookies too then. Milk would be acquireable by only chefs and bio engineers.
