Why does everyone seem to complain about getting milk?

Simple solution: when you're getting up your DNA sampling ability, just milk the creature (if possible) before you sample it. So it takes twice the time overall...so what? You still get your materials as you're getting your samples and exp! Or, you can go for meat at the same time for a bit of grinding material by milking your target beforekilling your target. You get twice the materials!

There just doesn't seem to be any reason to cry over milk if you haven't actually gone out and put forth the effort to gather it.

(Heh...barely avoided making a crying over spilled milk refference!)

First off we need more control over what we make and animal out to be like choosing levels of pets based on quality not just running a crap shoot....and be able to make specials and resistances based on whats available according to quality used again not a crap shoot

I gotta say we really need an outline for Bio i mean sure you could write down your results and try and make the best creatures but still it would be nice to have an outline for the profession

Well i just got BE as Holo proff.

My first attempt at DNA sampling took me 2 hours i had 30+consecative failures. I thought its probably buggged logged of and went to bed. The nxt day i had some success with a couple of DNA samples at may be 1 in 3 success rate for first few attempts but this has not lasted i am getting a average 1 in 10 or less this is on butterflys and gnorts.

I have also have3 trees of crafting to do but i can only make 3 things other thenclones that nobody wants. With the exception of pet stims the other too are virtually useless and just a waste of resources. (anti bleed is no longer a conceren for combat classes)

Has everyone forgotten that this a gamegrindinghour after hour is not my idea of fun. In the real worldyou could not pay me enough to sit for hour after hourdoing such a monotonious . At the end of100 hours or moreof completeing mundane tasks i will be able to create rancor i wont be able to use it just sell it for30 to40Kif u are lucky. I am Master sword and can make 400k in of a 3hour buff.

Does anyone find pleasure inwhat i find to be a ruidiculas amout of craftingto progress to the nxt stage of a proffesion.

The good news is Deus X 2 has been released

I have tried Sharneff Quenkers and others, i also use vasarian brandy so i am bale to take a greater number of samples, and have been unable to acquire a sample at all. (i am also wearing +27 MS and 3040 scout)

1 question about manufacturing BE pet stuf.

Why the hell have the "make shem" when you make a good Generic Dnatemplate. if it isnt any factories that can produse them?.. Absurd.

well. I have to go back to darth and dant to dna sample and die 10 times more them.

Welcome to Bio-Engineer hell!!!

Yes most of us have no combat skills what so ever.

So sampling things becomes a nice deathtrap that we the masochistic few love to enjoy every minute.

As we spend tons of cash on items that will erode becasue we die more then anyone except for the short lived PVPers, who play the game for month and then dont play anymore.

Anywise....since the nifty changes in AI behavior, I normally would have some suggestions, but cannot give you any advice. You have the problem I face, everyhting ignores your creatures and goes after you, and so you fall down then your creatures stop doing anything and you die, making the Body Gurad Creature Technique useless.

A nice error in judgement In my opinion, on the Development side.

But anywise...if the Team where smart they would add a special thing on Creature Handler and Bio_engineer Proffessions. The Creatures they use are more prone to cause the user to be ignored. The rating for this will heighten as the Player progresses the Tree.

This simple little thing would fix the problems, and would make people more prone to play more.

Instead of giving up becasue they cannot go anywhere.

SWG is an example of poor world building. As every Encounter is stronger then the Player, which is kind of sad.

Why do so many BE's have no combat skills? I'm a master TK and it's very handy. I can solo a Rancor buffed when it argos on me. I've actually taken on 3 rancors wiht a buff and no armor. It's a good combat skill to have for BE. I'm able to have some scout skills and a little CH. I mean it's not that important to master ch with BE.

Most BE's don't have combat skills because they choose to play either total pet people MBE/MCH or choose to put more skills into medic and so on. With 250 Skill points if you go MBE/MCH you have nothing left for combat, I think when I had rifleman I could dabble up to 3 in 2 lines... of course rifle sucks when you've got pets to heal so I dropped that.

That, or the BE chooses to master Scout for better sampling ability, get into Ranger to track and harvest, progress into Doctor for less dependability, pick up Tailor or Chef to make their own end-user products, get Merchant so they can have more than one vendor... ahh, too many beneficial professions and too little skill points . I love the BE/combat combo myself as well - as a BE/Swordsman I have a blast!

Do have to agree that BE has possiblities if you combine it with the right other profession. Right now i'm a novice BE and combined it with the rifleman abilities and found that I truly like it. I can sample the DNA and defend myself if necessary. Also once I have sampled enough DNA from the creatures I am sure to down them from a safe far distants then harvest the resources I need plus being a BE/RM has its advantages on base take downs : . So far the only problem I have come into contact with is since I have novice CH I tame the creatures I want when I store them then go to call them back out I always get the invalid stats thing. I created a lvl 7 Kwi with HAM at about 1100 and had to modify it. I always choose the increase pet lvl option because I don't want the stats to decrease problem is that this sometimes shoots it out of the non-ch lvl which kind of messes with the buisness. One thing I feel though is the non-ch lvl should be increased to atleast lvl 12 that way us BE's can make some pretty descent pets for our customers without the fear of them being shot out of range. Then if not atleast give some wookies +2 to their maximum creature handling lvl so they can handle lvl 12 pets as a min.

I chose my proffession choice of no combat skills because i wanted to be able to get High Level DNA...and not die all the time while getting it.

Originally I took creature handler so I could use the Creatures I made...i can also with MCH see how things work first hand and know what was powerful and what was not....and I originally had been keeping the majority of my Pistoleer skills(I had to drop my Mastery in it to get Creature Handler.)

But I found I could not sneak into places with Masked scent or for that matter get good DNA. Sure Pistoleer was cool against a player but the MOBs out there I was no match. (Did you know that an Ancient DarkJedi master has 120,000 HAMs Heavy Armor 100% resistance to all things and can kill a Rancor in one hit...well i know this for a fact...and you can find one north and east of the planet in the mountains...the automatically will aggro you)

Eventually becasue of this actually right after I had visited the Dathomire Witche's cave before it was done(2 months before the added awards thing which never showed where I had been or what I had mastered) I decided to dump the rest of pistol skills and Master Scout which I decided to go the next step and get Ranger skills.

I first tried the cammoflage but not being to make all the paints made me switch to tracking.(cant use conceal on planet you have no paint for)

So anywise...I am sure TKA and Rifleman workgreat for most things...but you end up running alot and probably dieing like I used to. And you can probably make all those things as a Bio-engineer...but really do you truly have any clue what you are making...no

You sell things and have no idea what the difference between your creatures really is...and I bet you have to turn away many would be pet owners becasue you cant tame and train them nor make them into mounts.

Sure you can look at the stats...but that wont tell you anything...and unless you are a Master scout you wont be able to know what abilities something has on it.

With the introduction of new creature types it become paramount to know what is stalking you and what you are going after.

I know people like to say they write down this and that have have a book or paper that tells them...but the truth is...those books and papers are obsolete by the next patch.

I mean how many people know that a Mutant Baznitch if you sample it alot...will become an Angry Mutant Baznitch...I know I was surprised....and how about Giant Mutant Peko Pekos that where introduced a few months ago....dont see them listed on any sites....(They have disease ability)

And thats why I got the skills I did.

Because they complimented the skills I had.

Anywise I Have mastered many proffessions before Bio-engineer...I am sad my profile does not reflect it.

but certain players can attest to my mastery as I used to train them, while others still have trained me.

So thats why I chose the skills I have. Heck I even had artisan skills and had a vendor...but I got tired of the buying and selling.

My skill set lets me explore the world and sneak around seeing whats out there. I admit I cant explore everything, but at least I have alot of fun doing it, as many combat only players end up quiting anywise.

Why is it, that BE is the only crafting profession that doesn't let you have a vendor? you have to use 18 skill points in a tree you don't use to get a vendor, I was able to master BE/Fencer, but had nowhere to put my stuff that I made. seems odd that all other crafting proffesions can be Master FIghter/crafter and get a vendor without spending extra 18 skill points. because all other crafting skills are already in the artisan tree. Kind of a kick to the nuts for BE I say.
