My experiences with taming on Endor. 8 tames, only 2 of which had innate specials. one a lantern bird and the other a putrid borgle. All of the other critters were land animals and they didn't have innate specials. I had a few aggros on me, usually the upper 60's babies when they were next to momma. The oddest thing, when babies attack, they bypass armor and hit for full strength on you. Has anyone else noticed this? So my ratio of innate specials for tames was 25 percent.

I noticed this as well. I don't think "babies" fight like they used to. I think they now have the tag "baby" just for taming purposes.

Heres what I was doing wile out taming like mad like everyone else:

When I found a baby I first made a waypoint. If the baby attacked I would burst run away. This way I wouldn't have to kill the baby, then I could just head back to the wp and try again.

Also, it does seem the special of the baby to be completely random but level based.

Kreetle .......... CL 1 .......... Thick Skin L1

Perlek Scavenger .......... CL 47 .......... Staggering Attack L2

By the way, exactly how long do we have to hunt with these pets before we can teach the abilities to other pets? I have rolled over the Kreetle's pet xp three times already (not as easy as you would think since anything greater than CL 1 will pretty much auto-incap it and it gets no pet xp if it gets incapped during a fight... and leveling a CL 1 pet is not fun).

Finally learned Thick Skin L1 after the Kreetle's pet xp had rolled over 4 times.

Additional abilities I have found tonight:

Slum Rat .......... CL 2 .......... Eye Gouge L1

Mutant Wamp Rat .......... CL 10 .......... Knock Down L1

Kreetle .......... CL 1 .......... Cowering Vigilance L1

Kreetle .......... CL 1 .......... Defensive Agility L1

The Kreetles I have gotten abilities on so far all seem to have defensive abilities (Thick Skin, Cowering Vigilance & Defensive Agility)... and the rats seem to have offensive ones.

Tamed 2 different Shear Mite Soldier (baby) lvl 70 and both times got Defensive Agility L3.

1 Ravaging Gackle Bat (baby) lvl 62 and got Hamstring Attack L2.

Hamstring Attack seems nice when it sticks. Sometimes it seems like the mob is still coming just as fast even w/o it on though.

1 Surefoot Brackaset (baby) lvl 64 with Guarded Stance L3.

1 Male Mamian (baby) lvl 62 with Beastly Constitution L2.
