They're just loot drops. You could, concievably, get them off of anything, although you are more likely to get them off of higher-end content. In some cases they also have a higher chance of being found in some of the "caves" and "dungeons" out there.

You can use them for whatever skill they modify. So if you find a tape that gives a + to Injury Treatment, then your stims will heal a little better when you are wearing clothing that you put that tape into. If you find a tape that gives a + to Unarmed Combat, though, that won't help you at all for medical stuff, but it would if you like to fight Unarmed.

And if you find a skill tape that adds to medicine use or combat medicine use, don't bother using it, it won't work.

I have 2 tapes I'm not sure how to use.

Tape #1, has droid exp +4 and weapons exp +3

Tape #2 has artisan exp+2 and weapons exp +2

I was told that the higtest +# or the first item on the tape (if the +# are the same) is the only one that will show in your slots if used. Is the true before i use these tape and if so is there any way i can make the weapon exp +# work. Or is the tapes junk, no good to me.

if you attach those you will get no weapon exp bonuses. you should wait till they fix this bug before using these tapes.

Those tapes will lose both the weapon experimentation bonuses if you use them currently. However I think the community has woken up TH on this matter after he posted a guide on skill tapes that was mostly false due to all the bugs.

Hopefully a fix is in the works, so I'd hang on to them for a while untill we see something in the patch notes.

supposedly(sp) there are ways you can use it. There is a sticky on the tailor forums that suggests how.

Heavy weapon skill tapes don't actually work though. They're a relic from beta before each heavy weapon was given its own set of skill modifiers.

Look at your weapon closely my friend...it is not classifed as a Heavy Weapon, those are the commando weapons...the LLC is classifed as a Special Heavy Weapon it is currently the only weapon in the game that has this title, its in a league all its own, no skill tapes work for it, it cant bepowered upand it has a master marksman type cap on its speed and accruacy...60 and 70....i guess they think if we get better speed and accruacy like the commandos weapons get then we could be usefull in pvp, maybe even be the best in pvp....and we cant have that now can we?
