Thread: Crafting Question

Ok I will make it less general (I hope). When surveying for resources is it better to have a Master Artisan then say Artisan 0-0-0-4.
Here is something you will want to think about, skill point allocation. Basically getting the most out of your skill points.
When you look at how well you can servey at 0004 vs M. A. there is little to be gained but there is a large skill point cost. So I suggest you not bother with M. A.
Most docs (not all) are a master of a fight class, master doc, and then have 18 points left over. They then move those 18 points from N. Art. so they can survey to N. Scout so they can hunt. It cost little cash to make the swap and there is no grinding so it is quick transfer. Surveying at 0001 is painful for sure but at least it is something.
I have also known guys who did not master a fight class and left them selves with enough to go up 3 boxes in a novice skill. This gave them better survey or hunting skills. It was a little harder to swich back and forth but not too hard. The surveying can be macro'ed with ease and the hunting is gained during normal hunting and does not take long.
A good prof to be a non-master in is swords. Even at non master if you get a nice speed sliced weapon you can kill any herb or avain with ease.
I suggest playing around with a character builder to see what you like.
