Crafting stations use artisan experiment points so you need all 10 experiment points under artisan.

Also see the FAQ item on making high quality stations.

I was wondering if someone could shed some light on this for me. As I understanditthe quality of the crafting tool and the quality of the crafting station (along with the crafter's skill) affect the success rate of the assembly of the item being crafted and also the success rate of the experiments. Is this the case? How big an effect is it? I'm using a +36-ish private crafting station, should I invest in a better one? Do the ratings on these come into play anywhere else in the crafting process?

I use a +44 rating crafting station and +15 crafting tools. I have yet to critical fail on anything since switching to these two items.. I get good successes, which might as well be a failure.. but I never crit fail on the initial crafting.

I think (I could be wrong) that the only thing it really affects is your chance at a crit fail, which I haven't seen yet as a Master Doc, or even when I was a Tailor before. Used to get a lot of them as a Bio-Engineer, but then again my station was in the minus

I believe Kaili is right. All the tools and crafting station ratings do is reduce your chances of a critical failure. Also, I seem to get much better results using a droid with a crafting station rather than a static crafting station with even a 44+ mod. Anyone else notice this?

I basically only use my droid now, too. I use it in front of my crafting station, though, so I'm not sure which one overwrites the other.

I am looking for a crafting station. I have been using a droid with a crafting station in it. (don't know what % it is) What is a good % I saw one for 37% is that good?

+45 is the best you can get so 37 is pretty good IMO.

Radiant has finally seen a +44.something crafting station. I have 2

+40something is decent, and worth purchasing.

Droid crafting modules are +0, Private Class.

Public crafting stations are below that (though the devs won't say how much).

From what I've found though, the quality of the tool you are using is more a factor than anything. Again, Radiant has seen the perfect +15 tools, and I have 4 . You'll do just fine with a +14.something though.

I run Ubuntu Linux and play SWG with Cedega. Give the live CD a try, you'll like it

Ok, I need some help here.

Who makes better crafting stations...Master Artisans or Master Architects?

See, our guild has a Master Architect and I make better stations than she does because she is not a Master Artisan.

She gets to like 20-21 ratings and I can get 32-33 ratings.

And I am using 999OQ +800 Ut compoments all around and 999Conduct copper, so the ingredients arent in question..(and my Arch shares the same resources, so its not the resources.)

Help? How do people get them to a 40 rating?

I'm assuming you're an architect of some level b/c artisans don't make crafting stations. So the only guess I would have is to the subcomponents used in the final product....perhaps yours are a higher quality than the ones she has.

Crafting stations are an architect schematic, not an artisan one.

That said, to get into the 40's:

1) You must experiment all the subcomponents up

2) You must use all components requested. The Droid Storage modules make a big difference.

3) You must be lucky.

Good luck
