Thread: Factories?
To make those you need to become/find an armoursmith and weaponsmith. Have them make you schematics that you can run off in an equipment factory.
Or just buy them by the crate from the weapon/armour smith.
A couple of further questions -
How much is one likely to be?
How many slots does it take to place?
Can admin rights, or the rights for others to use it, be given?
Thanks.

firstly, factories are manditory for those that wish to make anything larger than a mid sized extractor. all the heavy extractors, large houses, guild halls etc all require more than 1 of an item in the schimatic and they must be identical, ie factory made with the same serial number. an example of this is a heavy mineral extractor which requires 2 identical turbine generators, 6 identical small structure storage modules and 2 identical ore mining units. each of these three componants must be factory made.
to answer the new questions:
prices would be different on each server. check your servers trade board, or ask for a price check
all factories take 1 building lot except the structure factory used by architects which takes 2 building lots.
yes, the person that placed the factory can give anyone admin or hopper rights in the same way as an extractor. being able to share a factory is always helpful if managed well.
hope this helps
Thanks very much for your help.
Could you possibly also give me a link for where there might bea simple tutorial on how to actually use the factories ![]()
Thanks.
It is really not that diffecult to use a factory.
1) Access schematics from the factory and it will display those in your datapad - those which you want to produce.
2) If uncertain as to which ressources that schematic need - access schematic ingredients (cant remember exact name.
3) Access ingredients input and drag and drop the amount from your inventory - thje amount doesnt have to be right on the money. If fact if you put more then needed it will remain untill you want to craft more.
4) Start factory ![]()
This is at least what I do for stims heh.

/createPrototype Practice noitem; This got me spices 4 in approx 1 an a half hours (i didnt do it all at once though so this may be wrong)just set up three genric crafting tools on a fresh toolbar at F1, F2, F3... put the macro in F4 and all you have to do is hit F1, select shadowpaw, put the resources in, hit F4 and then hit F2 and repeat (going F1, F2, F3, F1, etc)
Was doing that last night. That slicing macro is really useful when grinding the whole prof. I'd slice a terminal for a mission w/o FANS or MCs. If i suceed, go do mission, if fail run the macro for 2 minutes. Works like a charm.
The only snag i hit was when I was sitting in the med center before logging. Middle of my macro my 1800 carbonite steel vanished. Hoping that when i log in tonight i'll have returned, otherwise mr CSR is gettin a talkin' too.
