I'm just tired of the entire debate. You undersell yourself, I'll weed you out later.

That would be a neat trick. Since if your server info is correct, you're not even on my server.

Daou wrote:

With the prices you're charging I will easilly corner the expertise markets, establish the prices there, and lock you out because you won't have the credits to aquire the resources required.

Establish the prices? HAhahaha. That's a good laugh. I can see the conversation now:

Me: That's 750 credits for a spec ops backpack

Them: WHAT!?!? Thao *ESTABLISHED* the price at 15,000 and you're not getting a credit LESS or I'll buy from her!

As for aquiring special resources, I do it all myself anyway. Got over 10K of the special metals banked all ready. If the market dries up, it dries up for everyone. I can alway raise the price on that 1 item due to shortages.

lock you out because you won't have the credits to aquire the resources required. It's not like I'm hurting for credits, XP, or associations at this point. In fact, I can outgrind and manage resources while I maintain a higher cashflow by selling higher than you can with your "tidy profit".

I have no problem with resources. I run all the harvesters I want and I make exactly the amopunt of XP I want in a night. Out grind me if you like, but it has no effect on my game at all. However I've been hearing this conversation more and more near where I sell.

Them: "But that guy is selling them for 500."

Crafter: "He's undercutting the market"

Them: "So, are you going to match that?"

Crafter: "No"

They tell you "Hey can you make me X for 500?"

Me: "sure."

Seems to me that people on the moral high round are slipping into the sea.

You may come ahead on the credits, bareley, but it doesnt cover the lost time and ground in everything else.

I get everything I want out the game right now. I'm advancing at exactly the speed I want, I help people dress how they want even when they don't have lots of credits and When I'm done I have a nice tidy profit to keep me going. I'm having a blast and haven't "lost" any time or ground at all.

Have fun!

The error which snowleeper is making above is a common one. He has sold himself literally into slavery for his craft.

Poring over his numbers above, I saw nothing about a value he has placed on his time. He values his resources, his maintenance costs, but not his very soul.

Your time is the most valued resource. My prices are what they are because I factor in the amount of expertise you are "renting" when you sit down with me and discuss a look. My prices are what they are because I have branded myself as having a certain quality and catering to a certain look.

I value my time. even at 1 credit per resource, it's still 50% of my item costs. Works for me. Good that you have "that look". Too bad every other tailor will in 2 months too. Good quality will matter when they fix clothing decay........ if they fix clothing decay.

My prices are what they are, because at the end of the day, I wish to socialize, hunt, and enjoy the galaxy.

Folks who own small businesses frequently put all of their time into their work, wasting away life's precious moments to make a little money. I am seeing that mentality here.

I wish to have fun. If so, I need credits.

I am an "in-demand" tailor. You pay for the name, as well as the quality, as well as the expertise.

Yeah, I'm having fun seeing the galaxy too. And it looks much better when people have good looking clothing! I love being compared to a small businessman. I work for one of the largest contract electronics companies in the world. Fortune 500. I'm using their business model. What the heck do they know anyway? haha

My customers aren't complaining, only the other crafters sure are.

I've been a Commando for weeks now, and I had a huge smile plastered on my face all morning after I read the patch notes. So I've seen the amazing stats the weapons have now... but can anyone tell me how much they got their stuff for?

payed 100k for my 5 new commando weapons, the price we agreed was 120k for all 6 including the rocket launcher. He then found out it still required crism ore so I just got the 5 weapons.

I thought the deal was superb when it was 120k for 6 since the rocket launcher is the hardest to make but not such a good deal when I only got 5 for 100k. well worth it though.

On Wanderhome Ataq is selling all new heavy weapons for 20K for today only. The stats on the LLC weren't as high as I've seen on other servers, but, they LLC I gotstill has a DPAS of 123. (the one I got is 378-705 4.4) I'm not going to kick that out of bed for eating crakers!

I guess the new heavy weapons don't require as many (or any) of the super-rare resources anymore so if your local vendor is charging more than 35K just wait for market to stabilize a little.

Hmm, so me selling my LLC's for 9k would be a steal. Maybe that's too low.

I got a good FT and a below average HAR for just under 12k for both. He wasvery generous with the FT price (normally charges 25k) and threw in the HAR just to see how the world's shortest Bothan looked carrying one. Then, the HAR poofed - I hope it's back tonight
