Thread: Tissues Bugs, Problems, and Suggestions
I have had success with the passive biosensors and myoflex. I have not had requests for any of the others.
Oh yeah......Redeeming your factory should work. Me and a couple others share factories and the ones that were down pre-patch would nottake my pet stims skematics until we moved it.
Finally working with a mid-level BE, and I've got a new one for you, or at least, I didn't see it when I skimmed the thread.
1) Crafting Tissues in a factory gives no BE XP.
2) Using those Tissues to make factory cloth gives the BE no XP (the tailor gets the usual crafting XP).
Piso,
To be able to access the Vitality pack A schematic all you have to do is go to a Food and Chemical crafting station found with almost any town that you go too and make sure you are using a food and chemical kit. Then u should be able to use the schematic.
For the matter of tissues I think we should get the factories fixed so they will be able to use the schematics in the machines. I know u can now but when the server resets, you have to pick up and then put the factory back down to be able to do it again. So within one day u can only do so much. But I am sure that will be fixed a long with te houses for the admin clearing bug. Otherwise everything else is cool! 8)

I confirm that you get no exp for using factories to make tissues, and no UEXP when someone uses the tissues in a factory to make synthetic cloths or reinforced fiber panels.
I'm both a BE and a Chef and I would like to comment on the food additives
Now I haven't got too far in either profession but so far I have one major issue - the food that takes BE tissues (meatlump) is really poor
Now since these are food additives couldn't they be added to ALL food and drink as an optional component. I think a lot of people would buy BE components to boost Tatooine sunburns or Breath of Heaven or others of the most sought-after items but we chefs will never sell Meatlump no matter how good the additive is. (I was getting +68 Con for 275 seconds at Novice Chef, without additives)
It seems to me that this reflects the reality/fictional continuity better. We can put preservatives and colours in pretty much any food we like already, in a science fiction future surely it is reasonable to expect the same
Does anyone else have a problem with stat stacking on tissues used in clothing? Since the patch no stats stack for me. I put in a customer service ticket and the reply was that similar components do not stack stats anymore. I have a real problem with this. It is already hard enough to get items to make tissues, then either to level in tailor yourself or partner up with a tailor. The only saving grace to this was that the tissue stats stacked so that at higher levels you could make clothes with some decent stats but now by the time you get ingredients to make a few you can't make an item that even covers the cost of you making it.

I heard an issue from a Tailor that buffs don't stack anymore, I can't confirm this since I can't find too many tailors, but the idea is, before the last big Bio-Engineer Patch, I used to be able to make 3 Active Biosensors with +10/+10, and give it to a Tailor who would make me a Smock that would have an end result of +30/+30.
But from what I heard, if you tryto do this, it comes out as +10/+10.
If this is true, I would suggestion (1) fixing it to stack, or (2) make an announcement that dev purposely decided agains't stacking buffs.

Actually - I took a LOT of grief for selling litterally hundreds of bio bonus items before the patch in these forums. My theory was - even if they don't work nowthey will someday - and you know what - there are a ton of my +25items running about - which ummm, you can't make NOW. They DID change it so they don't accumulate on an item - but they never stacked past 25. I'm seeing some pretty convincing posts that even though different items do accumulate on your character stats - anything past 25 on the character isn't doing anything - even though it shows.
Unfortunately - problems right after the patch have pretty much kept me out of the game since, I can pop in a bit now and then, but I've stopped taking orders - although I've left the website up for anyone that can get some use out of it.
IMHO - the cap was plenty to keep items from being overpowered - and they should still accumulate. It's not like there are THAT many bio bonuses, nor can they be used on armor. What this does is severely lessen the value of the minor tissues and is overly restrictive in what in the end - is a fashion choice.

I was wounded during battle today while wearing a constrictor cloth enhanced shirt. Seemed to me that I healed a lot faster than I remember others healing, can't be sure.
And why can't I be sure. When in battle, COMBAT chat relays all armor deflections. AM i correct in understanding that Tissue Enhanced clothing does not give a user feedback? Armor activity feedback makes me want to go back and get more, adn tell my friends about armor benefits. Tissue enhanced clothes don't get to be sold by word of mouth if there's no evidence of their value.

So I put my novice Eopie on the Bazaar market and watched as it fell into the mass of other products. I couldn't find it. It seems to be gone forever, never to eb seen again until the 7 days expire. This is probably one of theose bazaar problems not a BE problem but it did made me think: Why is a BE PET a "GENERIC ITEM" who knows to look there for a pet. BE's are in a unique position to actully be able to sell newbie pets on the Bazaar directly to customers, but it's of no use 'cause nobody can find them! Pets should be their own major bazaar classification (just like "RESOURCE CONTAINER"). (Creature Handlers could use it too, if they sold any pets unde the 3K limit.)

I don't udnerstand why they haven't added SampleDNA to the radial menu yet. Cna I say that I feel neglected?

I'm sorry I didn't keep track to be clear on this one, but I ran into soemone who was handing out MIND enhancement materials (consumables but I don't know what type for sure). WHen I offered to increase its duration with BE tissues he said "Im NOT a chef." He said it like he was a smuggler or something that enhances without traditional artisan cooking. I don't know what he was making but if he really is correct then why can't we enahnce teh duration for the consumables he's making? Increase duration and enhancments for all consumables. Especially if they no longer stack...

Wider use of pets requires a more educated population - isn't it obvious that ONLY someone with "creature handler" skill can "handle" a pet? Since that's not the case we need better general information about pets ebing for everyone and how to find them, etc.
