My bearded jax got fubared up the tailpipe. Callable before the patch, I couldn't call him afterwards. Adjusted his stats, he was CL7, his HAMs went down to 300, resists and any sort of protection to 0, and his damage went down to absolute NIL. This was a pet that used to be a great help in fights. Now all he's good for is..um..getting stepped on by a gnort and dying. :-/

There was a new check put in. I have a low brow CL 10 that went invalid after Pub 7 went live.

(2K HAM, 10% resists, real **edit**ty damage...I'd assume this was balanced.)

Just FYI guys, there are no new invalid pet checks in Pub 7. The note in the Pub 7 patch notes was left over from Pub 6 and will be removed.

That is strange. My wife's pet is non-invalid. I read this and a few days ago we both got nice new BE non-CH pets. Mine still works but her's doesn't. We are still fairly poor and the 50k each for the pets was a big investment.

The CSRs aren't doing crap. Just told my wife to sell her pet to a CH. Talthazar any help would be great.

Well,

That's it for me then guys. When my sub runs out in 2 weeks, I'm outta here.

Hope you all get some sense out of the devs one day.

Enjoy!

I'm simply frustrated beyond belief with the cloning system right now. First it was impossible to make any sense out of how the pets were going to come out, and now even when we think we're doing it right (not making monster CL 10's, just being reasonable) there is a complete randomness applied to the pets we already struggled to make!

I love being a BE, I love cloning, and I love making good, balanced pets for my friends. But right now I can't even stand to play my BE character out of disgust. What's the point when the rules change daily and there's no clarity at all?

For the love of God, please, someone on the Development Team help us!

I'm not sure who said there are no new nerfs, but...they are utterly and completely incorrect. I'm really getting tired of having a great pet, and then having the devs come along and nerf them...badly. Most folks pay good money to a BE to get a nice pet to help hunt. There are a lot more things wrong in SWG than some pet having a nice ham for a non-ch pet.

Now every time I log in I wonder what they did this time. I'm sick of it...just sick. This game is being reduced to average because the devs can't control excellence. BE's should be able to experiment and make better than average pets...that's what they advertise for BE's...its a reason for folks to become BE's....its why people BUY BE'd pets.

All I want to know is who was the bright idea guy that decided that no matter what the HAM was on a BE'd pet, if it was better than the AVERAGE pet in the wild, it would be nerfed? WHO? Cause I'd like to tell him to his face that he/she is totally and absolutely incorrect in his/her ideas. Folks should always be encouraged to be the best...otherwise most will become bored quickly with whatever you hand them to do. If you give them higher goals, folks will stick with it. Its human nature...reaching for a brass ring. Perhaps you want folks to spend all their time grinding...becoming bored, grinding some more...well there's only so long folks will grind and not leave the game. You've already lost a huge number of folks and I suspect that you will not be replacing all of them. I know you're losing footing in the game industry and there's only so long that lies and false promises can sustain you.

I'm sorry I'm upset...I'm not a BE...I'm a consumer of BE products and lost a pet tonight on one of my characters. I think BE is a great profession, I hold devs responsible for ruining more than half of the professions in SWG, and letting the other half go out of control. BE is one of the professions they have ruined....why don't you devs start nerfing commandos and leave the decent professions alone?

I am one very ANGRY customer right now...I'm not likely to cool off very quickly.

You took the word right out of my mouth, Lantus... I have some pet-deeds for lvl-10 Cu Pa and lvl-10 Bantha that I don't dare to use or sell because they might prove invalid. I tried some professions so far, not for hologrinding (holo asked me to become CM whichmight try someday but just not now), and stuck to BE far, far longer than I originally intended just because I found the profession to be fun. But if everything I make cannot be used(yes, almost all low-lvl-Cu Pa I made are apparantly invalid, even though they don't have that uber-stats with 2-3k'ish HAM. Perhaps it is because I wanted them to have special attack-combos like dizzy and knockdown or strong poison and strong disease or stun and intimidation?), where is the point in that profession? Well, time to move on tothe next profession I think: Now that I have made pets, lets look how it is to use them as CH... Anyway, I had fun being BE until the last patch came out!

I've spent way to much time refining my character and learning how BE works after each publish. If I have to constantly question every animal I make and worry when a customer tames one of my creations then apologize because of something I can't control I won't be surrendering my profession.

I'll be surrendering my subscription. Its coming due soon anyway.

Meanwhile my buddy has a Lvl 1 Gurreck with 10k+ all 3 HAMS, light armor, & does 560 dmg, and is still callable.

BE: *pulls out a valve-coreextractor and sets to work on random Dev's car tires. Once done, flings them into the nearest sewer grate*

Dev: "d00d! Somebody nerfed my **edit**ing TIRES!"

Fun driving to work on your rims, isn't it fellas? That's what you're doing to the BE profession. Not only are you letting all the air out of what we DO for a living, but you're not even telling us when or how you're doing it. A little documentation wouldn't hurt. A little heads up wouldn't hurt. A little fricking truth wouldn't hurt.

The people in this community telling you lot to go play a BE for a while at this point doesn't even begin to show the frustration we've been dealing with over the past couple months. First you fix us with the december publish. Then you nerf us with the next. Then you nerf us again, cause apparently you didn't do enough damage the first time. Then you revamp chefs, and change half our schematics without telling us. And THEN? Then you nerf us again with the sleek black nerfbat nobody can see coming. In fact, you told our correspondent it WASN'T coming. But here we all are, hearing reports that pet stats are out of line and the choice is a) nerf the stats, or b) nerf the level so its uncallable.

I'd like to know why we're the only profession where the market for what we make has two plateaus. There's the ubiquitous brass ring - the absolute best we can do, and then there's the aluminum foil ring - CL 10 tanks. No other crafting profession has this two-tiered system, and the complete and utter lack of documentation on what the numbers ina DNA sample actually mean and how they're factored in to a final DNA template when combined with four others is insulting. Yes. Insulting. This isn't some percentages thing like tissues or food supplements, those are easy enough to figure out, they use real resources that get used at a given weighted percentage. DNA doesn't work like that at ALL. Maybe that's why we haven't seen any documentation? Nobody UPSTAIRS understands the BE code either?

And no, you don't need four new tires. Go to AutoZone and pick up four new valvestems. Yes, you've gotta hoof it to get to AutoZone and back. Heck of a lot smaller price to pay than four brand new tires, now isn't it?

I ask you, kindly and as calmly as I can at this point, to tell us how all this is supposed to work. And then when you're done telling us your lofty visions, tell us how it REALLY works. (translation: DOCUMENfrickingTATION) Once you're done with that, give us clear guidelines on what a pet usable by a non-creature handler is supposed to look like in your final "lofty vision" of how bio-engineering is supposed to work, so we can quit feeling like heels for "robbing" our customers, selling them things that, by the present code, look like they're CL 10 and work, but in fact don't. Yeah, that's right, robbing. We do it because the way these publishes and nerfs and stealth-nerfs have gone lately, that's what it looks like. Let the buyer beware? Those four words should be hard-coded into the vendor and bazaar screens. I find it particularly interesting that this didn't go live the day of the publish, but had to wait two days. It didn't even go live the day of the un-nerf-the-nerf crafting change. Was this an afterthought? Am I out of line in asking that you QUIT DOING THIS?
