"I'll agree that the missions should scale, but I'll also maintain that our primary source of income should be our patrons. NOT the mission terminal, which is where the scout's primary source of income is. It's a bit different."

But unfortunately, the vast majority of patrons don't tip, and those that do either tip for the wrong reason, tip based on rather wacky personal prejudices rather than on the service they're getting, and/or tip AFKers just as much as they tip entertainers who are there in person actively playing the game.

Added to this, who decided that entertainers should work on tips anyway? Real entertainers don't (unless they're dancing on a pole). I'm sorry, but the whole tip system is broken, and reinforces nudie-bar stereotypes and prejudices.

If you want tips to be a primary form of income, let's find some way of making it such. As it is, there's no point in being a performer, 'cos I can make more money in a day's scouting than I ever could from tips. The best performers average 10 to 20k per day. I can make that much out in the bush in a couple of hours.

I agree with you. That's why a lot of people have proposed increasing the value of our services and making them targettable. Once people realize they are actually receiving something worthwhile if they treat us well, the situation with tipping will probably improve.

You're also right that real entertainers don't generally work on tips, unless they're exotic dancing. They're usually paid by a manager who is charging a cover. Player-run cantinas can already do this, and my hope is that Sony will also provide additional incentives to get people into private cantinas.

Quite honestly, I'd prefer either of those two ideas over increasing the mission rewards.

Well thenI don't think we have a difference of opinion - just a misunderstanding. You've already said that mission payments should be graduated based on skill. That's all I'm asking for. I think the base level should be what it is currently -under 200 credits for a mission - that makes it just about worthwhile to run out and get a mission every now and then (running the risk of being absent for a large tip). However, no one takes entertainer missions outside the local cantina, and that's crazy. It should be worth a dancer's while to take a mission in a hotel or casino. These missions should pay more, and they should demand a high-level performer. I'm not talking a lot of money for non-cantina-based missions- just enough so the loss of tips are offset, and so that the profession is on an equal footing with other professions. Perhaps 1000 credits for a non-cantina show if you're at Master level. This would also help to get performers out of Coronet (which is where just aboutevery performer currently is to be found). Off-world missions should pay travellingexpenses too - since the last major patch there are some missions in the game that cost more than twice as much to do than they pay - that's ridiculous.

I would concur with those changes, yep. Not overpowering, but enough to make it worthwhile to take the missions.

(out of character)

I agree that missions should not be overdone in a way that would cause entertainers to be constantly traveling and not performing. However, lets not forget that current missions usually contain a significant amount of time performing in a cantina. I think ideally an entertainer would travel from cantina to cantina and from hotel to hotel, performing for an hour or so in each location and getting a mission reward that is well worth his/her time.

What I absolutely don't understand is the entertainers-in-RL-are-not-all-rich argument. Of course there are many excellent musicians and dancers in RL who don't get rich. But, and there is a big BUT: How many bounty hunters, soldiers, miners and doctors in RL do you know who are rich? This is a computer game and every profession should be equally fun and rewarding. Most players don't want to play poor frustrated Cinderella the Garage Angel. Professions should be equally balanced and arguing with RL will get us nowhere, especially if we only apply the RL argument to one profession while not applying it to the other professions. This means that becoming a master entertainer should be more complex and difficult, especially not achievable with AFK macroes, but also more rewarding in terms of abilities to contribute to the game :-)

Yep, I completed my first BH mission (other than the novice BH mission), and holy shiznit, I see what you guys are complaining about. I've spend about an hour and a half on that, for ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHT BH xp. This is totally unacceptable. We need to get at least say 300 BH xp for a mission that sends me all across Dantooine.

When you take a mission from the terminal be sure to hold your LLC for the max level available to you.

LLC 4 lets you have the highest mission level and payout.

Remember exp is 1 % of your payout.

If you earn it then yes, mastering any other class is far easier than bh. Yes it should be harder, but not frustrating and annoying!

To read and comprehend I can, but you were unable to complete your thought and statement in a manner that isbeneficial to achieving clarity.

Simply, the way you have written your statement about the llc advice followed by your troll coments indicates with all proper reason that you are speaking to the person regarding the llc and at best that you were speaking to both.

Im not gonna give you a grammar or any other type of lesson, much as i do not follow proper grammar and as such myself. However, I will tell you this. When you make comments and/or take actions it directly reflects upon your character. This means that there is responsibility in ones words and/or actions.

I suggest you take responsibility for your words and actions and treat yourself better than what you have shown. I am not gonna respond to you further, nor do i care. Im just telling you this as it seems you do not understand this principal and perhaps it may help you.

If you are in a faction or have any CH or a droid, pull them all out and group to get a better mark for more xp.
