Thread: I NEED SOME ADVICE

If you are into pvp....I would think the best you could do is master brawler and master swordsman with a shirt that has + to warcry and\or intimidate (a shirt because you can wear it under armor if you so choose). Here is why:

-warcry2 lasts for 20 seconds....how long does the average PvP fight last anyhow?

-master brawler 2h KD...do this after a successful warcry...and land a good headhit...fight over...next victum

while state defenses are nice....it is better to keep your opponent from even attacking you (imho). This is my planned template anyhow and so far it works extremely well without needing to dabble in some other profession. Dabbling is good...dont get me wrong..but it certainly seems as if the changes that have been going in lately to keep things from stacking (defense stacking...bleed stacking..etc..) seem to go against what I thought a skill based system was all about (you can dabble all you want to get what works for you). Master brawler doenst stack, but adds to MHS and I am not even a master yet and I am extremely effective in PvP and PvE. So far my move is warcry2 until it sticks + 2hlung2 (KD) + and head hit at my leisure. They will be down for at least 15 seconds...which is more then enough time to take any one out.

Pikeman, better AOE. Swordsman is sheer 1 on 1 DPS, Pikeman is sheer DPS when surrounded.

Pikeman has a direct KD and indirect KD plus dizzy, Swordsman has no direct way of landing KD without master brawler. Swordsman you also see a gradual increase in power as you go up the profession. Pikeman is staggered, the power isn't apparent until you reach 4xx4 and higher. Aside that they're more or less essentially the same. The swordsman is obviously much better geared to PvP killing than pikeman cause it targets the mind.

The other thing you want to consider is which damage type is more useful to you blast or electricity? NOTE there tend to be a few more things reistant to Blast than Electricity.

one more thing is that i like to hunt pretty high level mobs (Nightsisters) i can solo any nightsister right now but the ones with medium armor (protecters, spellweavers) just take way to long to kill even when i span unarmed3 and i use flamesingle2 to burn them, and when i with a pikeman or swordsmen they cut them down so fast beacouse there weapons have AP2 so that is why i am trying to deside sword or pike

Since you like to solo, go with Swordsman. Gods in PVE 1 on 1. And every nightsister is vuln to Blast.

Swordsmen are the superior nightsister killers, if you ask me. With just 2/4/2/3 in swordsman I could kill Spellweavers much faster than I can at master pike.

Swordsmen have more and better AP2 weapons, and headhit3 is a very efficient way to kill just about anything. They can't heal themselves if you wipe out their minds. Since it's difficult to get a knockdown, dizzy, or stun landed on the high-level nightsisters anyway, it mostly comes down to efficiency of damage, and swordsmen have the upper hand there. Plus they can actually damage elders and Axkva, unlike pikemen.

Generally, though, swordsmen should usually stick to a smaller scale fight where they can focus one or two enemies. Pikemen have a slight upper hand in area attacks.

Ithorian Mist is the old way of doing Chef.

It sounds like you would like to actually sell the food during your trek to Master Chef. Most of the advice you will read will be geared towards hologrinding and finding the fastest way to Master. There is nothing wrong with doing it slow, it just sadly not the norm anymore.

While I agree with you that the +2 points would be nice for making the food, your really limiting yourself on the foods you can make.

A few different options

Entrees Tree gives you one decent recipe in each box, ending with Havla in the 3rd and Bivoli in the 4th. Both very nice sellers. Sythsteak is in Tier 1

Deserts really only has Canape at tier 4

Drinks has Brandy at Tier 3 and blue milk at tier 1.

So by the amount of hot sellers I would say entrees would win. There are other decent foods in the other trees, I'm just pointing out ones that sell quite well.

The other option is to go up to Deserts 3. There you get Kiwik Clusjo Swirl which offers the best resource to exp ratio and no components. It just might make the other boxes go faster.

The choice is yours, but to be honest until your a good ways into chef your menu just isn't that big. Adding one food to your menu is a bonus, it just might not be enough for people to come and buy your food.

Every time I go after a mark, he or she goes into a player city cantina. Is there anything I can do to tef them out? Or is that it, go grab a new mission? I have tried attacking while prone with no weapon, but I still got tef'ed out then killed by the mark's friends. Any advice would be great. (and please no tipps such as drop BH you suck, I already got that in game from the Jedi)
