I'm a human combat medic/pistoleer and I'm having a hard time finding a good stat setting. I regularly wear a Comp. Helm (only 50% resists, but its low HAM, sliced for enc.) and chestplate, because I do some PvP...I have decent lag, so I can't remove the helm and put it back on as fast as some...anyone have any input for me? I'm set at 800 (400/400) 800 (400/400) 1000 (600/600) right now.

Lower your regen pools for health and action (constitution, stamina I think!?). As I see it, you don't really need to care about regeneration as a healer. Just one heal and you'll be fine.

Should healers ever have armor? ...maybe in PvP, but otherwise?

was 2444 bh now i have to master heavy swordsman

not because the holocron told me to, its just the coolest looking profession around besides TK.

so i was 700/900/700 bh before and i did what i thought would be best i am usually good with this but i want more input

Twilek

950 - 490 - 550 ||||900/500/300 |||| 700/400/500

i am using the 2 handed curved because i heard the power hammer has terrible accuracy and is slow so its not worth it unless using it for the blast damage.

Stats depend on how you want to play.

I prefer to max my damage output and minimize my damage taken as much as can be done with reasonable effort.

This means you must have novice medic to heal yourself. If you don't you won't last against lots of mobs, in pvp, or against really nasty mobs.

The way I optimize my stats are for regular food and drink usage. Personally I like muon gold in many situations but switch up my food type if I'm not using muon. The best stats for novice medic and using food for me seems to be:

Health/Action/Mind - 800 or so each. You can heal H&A and our weapons don't really drain mind like H&A.

To reduce healing needs from weapon HAM costs, put some points into your strength and quickness. This means non-stop specials if you are using foods such as ryshcate or breath of heaven. Don't overdo this as your focus should be mind/focus/willpower in almost all cases. Foods compensate for low strength/constitution.

Regen is not needed if you can heal your H&A so I reduced constitution and stamina to the minimum possible. This means more points to go into other stats that I can't heal or allow me to reduce healing needs.

Focus is important because you need it to heal and do specials efficiently. Since unless you are CM you cant heal mind, it is important to keep your mind up as high as possible while fighting.

Willpower is not as useful during battle but reduces your downtime between battles. If you regen very slow you will have to wait a long time before you are in a position to fight unless you can heal mind in some other way. The less you like to wait, the more sensitive you will be to tweaking mind/focus/will.

Hey I have been thinking long and hard about wither or not to ware armor and with the stats going down fast with the special abilities I ask a few questions of you guys:

1. What stats do you all have?

2. What armor do you guys use?

3. If you use armor what was your stats before you put it on?

Thank you for your time.

If you just got TKN you should give your self alot of mind because all of your specials use up mind and trust me, you want to be able to use them.
