It will make a nominal difference. These mods aren't very obvious, and with the relative infrequency that you're going to be KD'd it's not very likely you'll notice a change. Not to say there is no change, but I wouldn't plan your whole template around getting Def vs KD for PvE purposes.

Okay, answered my question in more ways than one thanks! Was wondering whether to max out melee/ranged in fencer, or kd/posture change in fencer

OK I am one day going to be a bounty hunter, anyway I have a quick question, it says in the manual i am able to master 3 proffesions and dabble in a 4th, does this mean i have to master in scout marksman and bountyhunter, then i can do a little of something else? please help,

thanks.

You can master 3 professions.... or 2 dabbling a 3rd and/or 4th.... But never 3 dabbling a 4th. generally speaking you can master 2.5 professions. particular combinations are such that you can do 3 however.... TKM/Smuggler/Pistoleer only one that comes to mind though.

I've seen and own a few weapons that have additions on them, such as a scope, stock, muzzle break, etc. Does anyone know how this is done?

Thanks,

Dapperdan

It is done while they are crafted.

If you're talking about them actually showing up on weapons, like being able to see them in /examine, it's completely random and there isn't a way for sure to make it show up.

It is not random. Some weapons will show the optional stuff (scopes, stocks, etc) and some won't, as long as the weapons and accessory are hand crafted and not made in a factory. If the scopes, etc are in a factory crate they must be pulled from the crate first.

Even after that it will only show to the holder or people in the group.

Ok thank you very much I have enough clothing attachments to hit +24 right now and can get a +4 ubese shirt so was making sure what I can wear with the chef apron.

By my book I can do

Chef Apron
Sunguard or any hat with sockets
Short Gloves
Ubese shirt or any shirt
Pants
Shoes

You can also add belt (although I'm not 100% sure if these come out with sockets). And if you were willing to give up your backpack, you can also get bandoliers with sockets. Socketed packs do not accept SEAs (the tape just goes into the container).

As far as I've been able to tell, the clothing slots on your avatar are:

  • Head

  • Chest, inner layer(shirts)

  • Chest outer layer (vest/jacket/armor)

  • Belt

  • Bicep (one on each arm)

  • Forearm (one on each arm)

  • Hand

  • Back (backpacks and bandoliers)

  • Legs

  • Feet

Then there are also some "jewelry" slots: necklace, 2 rings, and bracelet (although bracelets may use the forearm slot), but since these items can't be made with sockets, they can be ignored for this situation.

Some types of clothing take up multiple slots: jackets use outer chest + bicep + forearm. Long gloves take up forearm + hands. Some dresses take up Chest, inner layer + legs, etc.

I believe the only items that take up just the bicep and forearm slots are armor pieces (Ubese bracers, chitin biceps, etc). And since these won't take +experimentation SEAs (you can't put Clothing attachments into armor), I've just added a pointless piece of trivia.

Belts come with sockets and can take CAs (or AAs in case of the Mabari Belt)

Bracelets don't interfere with anything, neither do rings or necklace

Anyone know if I can wear a ubese shirt with the chef apron? Also the apron what piece of clothing does that replace?
