I think the current question with all of the contributions to date is:

Currently a bio-engineered non-Creature Handler pet which is craftedunder the current systemcan still get the "pet invalid" dialogue box when a customer tries to tame it, forcing the customer to change the creature's statistics or CL. This means that a bio-engineer cannot sell pet deeds with any confidence that the pet he or she has created will be valid. In what publish or mini publish will a system be put in place in which either 1) the bioengineer cannot create an invalid pet or 2) the bioengineer is able to check the pets' validity durring or imediately after its creation? To us, this is a game-breaking issue that needs to be addressed.

My question is when are they gonna nerf us so bad that noone wants to be a BE and they get rid of us completely like the want too?

Our tissue line is pretty solid right now, however the pet situation isn't. I have personally only made a few invalids, and that was using the old dathomir DNA. I haven't made an invalid in months and not too sure how one would make an invalid. However this seems to be a problem for some, so I would go with it.

Gilding the lilly perhaps, but heres my last suggestions.

Changes and reasoning:

Delete "non-Creature Handler"(unless anyone has evidence to say the check doesn't apply to other pets as well? This is as much an issue for a CH buying a CL 23/35 as it is a Sub10 after all).

Add "as the check is made after the crafting (when it's called from the pad), not during" so theycan't just say "we can't do that code/check"...they can, as the code is alreadythere and only needs to be added to our crafting process as well as in the call from the pad...

Change "will" to "could". "Will" just sounds a little too pushy to me, butif people want it to sound more like a demand then so be it

Change "validity" to"CL" (CL is what the validity checkisactually for after all, so we may as well be asclear about it as we can be).

Ok, done. Even without these changes it's still a good question

Just My Two cents on the Tame / Training issue in the Pet World. I am a M CH and almost M BE. The Validity Check truely occurs when you call a pet not when you tame it. So a non ch pet can be tamed from a deed with out any issue until it is called from the data pad and then it gets nerf'd.

That is why on any truely questionable non ch mountables ( my niche on Interpid) I tame, train and grow them and then sell them as an impluse buy fully trained and mounted.

The main problem in the system from the joint profession is that the ' check' occurs way to late and is deceiving. When I began in BE cloning pets I was thrilled with some of the one I made and Tamed. Until I recalled them out and they were nerf'd. So I began making lower Cl (5-8) in hopes if the creature didn't fit in the limits...(mostly due to the resists) it would go up CL 1-3 level thus leaving a vaild pet in its wake.

Now I have a better understanding of what may nerf a non ch pet, I don't have as many issues but I still rely on me self tame/train/grow theory to make sure that I am selling valid pets. At least for the mean time.

Thanks for the rants....

Actually Doc submitted the question that I copied into the first message on this thread (edit). I wouldn't trust him though, as he thanked "Kwee" for her help.... Me not Kwee!

Just fwiw the pet validity issue affects ALL pets, not just non-ch pets.
IMO the CH pets are FAR more important than non-ch luxory pets

??? Sorry, I've never had this happen to anything but my non-CH pets before, didn't know there was a validity check for the higher level pets. Guess I'm lucky.

Kwee NJ sees things...

I did submit the question for you guys and NJ let me know about the alteration and its been modfied to remove the Non CH qualifier. I don't think it will affect the answer but it has been changed. I'll follow up when the answer comes back to make sure that they have the right version of the question.

I wish i had seen this sooner, I think it should be changed so that we can't make invalid pets, and a system check should go out on all current pets and either balance them or label them in valid. It is a shame to waste resources just to find out you have created something useless, I for one would rather hit a limit, than to get an invalid pet. Having a check after we create it is too late in my mind, if this edge is that important that pets are deemed invalid, there should probably be a warning when attempting an experiment or remove the experiment boxes that would push it over the top.

I moved to Corellia I have no vendor and I don't know the coords to my house, but it doesn't really matter cause all my pets are in the tool box, I may have some in space, but that doesn't really concern you either.
