Thread: Creature Levels
How to test this? Are the CL's of all creatures posted somewhere? I've never seen one come up on the <describe> radial option. Should be easy to test this if wild CL's are known.

jett - SWGCreatures.com has the CL

Wow! What a great resource. Had no idea this was out there.
For a DNA combine there is a 'minimum level' which I havent figured out exactly what that is, the best way to determine this is to combine the dna and dont experiment on it.
This method works for me provided I have all great sucesses, no amazings and no crit fails (I know, its hard to test with so much variance)
the CL = avg of the CL * (# of experiment points/10) + minimum level
This is working so far for me to great sucess. You might all think is complete BS but I thought I'd share, maybe someone can use this as a basis for their own theory
When you sample an animal, for instance a cu pa which I believe is CL15. If you were to use all cu pa samples in all 5 slots and craft an animal using no experimentation at all you'll end up with something lower than CL15.
The combine always lowers the stats. Experimentation allows you to exceed the CL15 by raising those stats. That's how we create higher or lower level animals. critical fails during experimenting can effect the critter level as well but that's not anything you can control outright.
Multi-generation animals use a variation on this theme. The best way to learn how multi-generations work is by playing around with the pet deeds you make. Combine DNA youget fromthem and experiment in certain areas. You'll get a higher or lower animal depending on what you use and how you experiment.
