Bad news guys. I was just looking for one today. Found it, they are *not* boss creatures, wild spawn.
But....Tamable: No./sigh.
No such thing as a non-BE'd level 70 pet I guess.

has anyone ever sampled DNA from this level 70 Animal? I went looking for it one time, never found it and will never go again. Doesn't really seem worth it to go look for it with mutant rancors that spawn regularly.

I've never seen one, but it's very good DNA sampling if ever you find it.

I have searched several times and had a ranger go with me - we have never found one. I will probably search again sometime, just because it's so elusive, but will never be obsessed with finding it! And, btw, I have never known anyone else who found it either.

so if you group up and start hunting grondas you might have one pop out of the lair before it gets destroyed?

What people have said in other threads (as recently as last week) was that some saw these many many months ago as a boss creature in gronda lairs, but no sightings since. I've actually been hunting all types of Grondasto the brink of extinction the past week (Bria corellian carni is incredible right now) with my ranger/ch/rifleman,but no sightings (ever) for me. It's quite possible that these don't in fact exist anymore unless somebody has evidence to the contrary.
