Lol wasn't flameing, just honestly asking how you could have missed them. Or are you unable to search the forums. I surf the forums at least once a day and see them ALL the time.

Well, these days I spend most of my time trying not to gag over crap spilling out of the jedi forums. I read them to learn what I can about my future professions and any bugs, exploits or whatnot to avoid. Dont worry.. this is Ranger related.
The most basic problem I find they complain about is getting xp. Sure, we all do. With the CU changes just about anyone wanting to hunt for xp has to stick with a mission terminal since it pops out missions at your level or highest group member level. We all know that most wild spawns yield zero xp. Even on Dathomir the amount of level 80+ mobs isnt great. And when it is its like 30 of them all together. Spawns there are nutty... lol. Unless you find a static spawn, or POI that has alot of stuff to fight more often than not your stuck at mission terminals for xp.
Now, the game has been pushed towards being group oriented. As proven by the upcoming Pub 20 that will allow jedi to group without getting vis from group members. This is good for jedi but it still locks the groups into hunting from mission terminals. Which makes us all see more jedi everywhere in the big cities and all that.
We've all heard the idea of having the mission terminal in the HTFB. I was always against the idea since I believe it would cause alot of spam for setting up missions for any old goober that walks along. Now I am wondering if we could indeed have a use for them incamp. I still say no payout for the missions.
This would allow Rangers to have a more useful function in groups. It would allow us to actually lead people about the wilderness away from large cities and outposts and would bring back the exploring of the planets instead of locking ones self onto a mission terminal and doing laps back and forth to it.
Yes, I have to admit my own wants as a newbie jedi influences my thoughts/posts. I know alot of Rangers dont like jedi but given our slight history of the Antarian Rangers in the SWG Universe/timeline I think this would fit in nicely. Not to mention that this isnt for jedi exclusively. Any group type could benefit from it.

No payout, why in the force would you not wanna get paid. Mission and JTL are my only source of income. I don't hunt for profit, not my style. I hunt if friends or family need something, but thats it. This is afterall a 'high tech' field base, with a nice satalite up link useing the Galtatic Information Network. There is no flame here mates, I just wonder why you don't want payouts.

Because there has to be some concession to make getting it more possible and the easiest thing to give up is the payout.

Dont consider it so much of a mission terminal more of a creature tracker activated from camp. No payout so as not to totally remove the usefulness of using regular mission terminals. Make them for creatures only.
I was always against payout when running Mokk and Janta missions was so prevalent. Now with the way group payout is calculated perhaps that wouldnt be so bad. Some payout(perhaps a percentage less), you get the mission xp/harvest and the xp gain. No delivery option and no npc lairs will list on the terminal.

Didn't I read somewhere the mission termina works in our camps if your 'special forces' ? If this is the case is it just faction missions ? Or was that just a dream ?

Because we're talking about just the functionality of the camp itself, not the entire Ranger profession, there's been plenty of other threads for doing that and it's honestly been done to death.

That's just faction missions if you're spec forces.

Okay, on the other end of the thought though, how about we get paid everytime someone uses the terminal? Well, actually, unless that works like a tip or covercharge it'd probably be exploited. Hmm, can't say I'm against the idea presented, just working out all the angles.

Bring back Survival exp and let us gain Survival exp from the terminal use but put a limit on it, like x amount of exp from group member A only once within a 10 minute period etc.

Um, I guess that works. But why do I care about survival xp as a Master? I see what you're saying for other folks using camps, sure, but I can't help but think about myself a little, heh.
