The more candidates they have, the more likelythe Devs will find the best person for the job from their perspective.

Not only that, the more excitement and the more applications generated, the more vibrant our community will appear to them as a whole. Who knows? Maybe they'll be so impressed with our collective vitality that they'll throw us some bones in an upcoming revamp.

We all know we have an exciting community because we are fortunate to have chosen the most interesting and varied crafting profession there is. The more we can underscore this in a positive manner to the powers-that-be the better.

Arthur or Lloyd. With these two as our candidates I don't think it matters who wins. They will both do an exemplory job, and will have the shining example of Nancy to follow.

o0o can I frame this post on my wall, stick a big gold star on it and point it out everytime Ientertain guests?

On a slightly more sane note - Bonestein - you want us to get someone to annoy the Devs, I'd have to say where would that get us? If we annoy them, they aren't going to be responsive to our suggestions for change... There are plenty of things we would like changed, but then there are plenty of things that need changing in other professions as well. If all the correspondents 'annoyed the Devs' it would be a wonder that we ever got patches or revamps...

Hopefully the very fact that we will have a new correspondent will bring some more attention toour profession(not that I'd suggest NancyJ became part of the furniture...she did a great job, and I don't think anyone can fault anything she did. Anyway, enough weird and strange things happen on this forum without people turning into pieces of furniture:smileytongue.

We don't get to vote actually, they just look at the app letter and do a check on postings. Arthur is very knowledgable about BE, doubtful you can find someone more knowledgable about the profession than him. He also has strong opinions, and there is nothing wrong with strong opinions, that is a general side effect of being very knowledgable, but it does raise concern about being impartial. Not sure if it even matters as nothing will happen with BE in the next 6 months as itis. Someone like Nancy was perfect for the job, but she is now out.

Would that make her craftable? I found THREE Goraxes (Gori?) yesterday and paid a visit to my local cloning station. They were wondering what happened to me. It had been days since I had cloned there. Anyway, even after killing a couple, none dropped any NancyJ schematics. With the promise of "phat lewt," does that mean she's lean?

Random drop off meatlump bufoons i'm afraid.... 0.00001% chance.

As for the Goraxes/Gori i'm not sure if they actually have a plural as they are so rare

That might explain why theres a thread from people whothink theyve 'Finally Found It!!!' She's been released into the world aftercompiling all the secret Research we do on pets. This research is THE secret research. We've been creating and nurturing our own loot drop without even knowing it...(truly Bio-Engineered to Frankenstein's Monster's proportions)

They are solitary individuals who, in the last release, seem to have spawned in closely-knit cliques of two or three. So that means they like to travel in oxymorons.

I figured they must be an oxymoron of Goraces. They don't have a lair, but perhaps they have a reading group.

Player Correspondent Opening: Bio-engineer

  • Are you knowledgeable about Bio-engineer?
  • Are you a community leader?
  • Can you objectively identify relevant issues and distinguish them from simply passionate arguments?
  • Do you like organizing information and corresponding with other members of a community?

The Development Team is looking for a volunteer correspondent for Bio-engineer. Participation is completely voluntary and you can stop helping out at any time. We’re just looking for someone who can help us sort through the various issues for this profession.

Some things that you need to consider when applying:

  • Developing online games takes a long time. Results happen with long time involvement.
  • Player Correspondents should be leaders in their community and set a positive tone.
  • Player Correspondents should understand the technical aspects of playing the profession and the needs of their community.
  • Player Correspondents should be in touch with the communities concerns, understanding the essence of why players pursue their chosen profession.
  • Please include your forum name in the letter

If this is something you are interested in, please write a short paragraph on why you think you would be a good candidate and email it to [email protected]. Please put Bio-engineer Correspondent in the Subject Line. By submitting this email to us, you agree to allow us to contact you in connection with Star Wars Galaxies and agree that all correspondence with and material submitted to SOE will be the exclusive property of SOE and SOE may use such materials without limitation and in its sole discretion.

After we have reviewed the submissions, we will pick one person to be our correspondent. We will set them up with a special community title here on the forums and ask them to help highlight for us the relevant issues relating to this profession.

We will still continue to monitor the forums and read as many threads as we can. The correspondent is just to help us focus on the top issues and community concerns of the profession.

Thank you.
