Thread: TH This is just a slap in the face

I have played master CH on two servers
I am well aware of how powerful a creature is.
If thats the case how come you couldnt tell the lvl 10 pets were a bug ?

I really thought they intended to create a market for BE by allowing them to make very nice level 10 pets if they worked hard enough at it.
Yous honestly telling me that after the great X-mas nerf of CH you never went on to the Creature Handler boards what so ever ?
That during your daily browsing of the boards you never popd into the CH prof forum ?
There was certainly plenty of debate over the lvl 10 buggd pets in there, and probably also in the BE forum as well.
Also add in the reasons for the Patch at X-mas and I fail to see how you couldnt know it was a bug without having blinders on to the world.
Because the subject line is an insult, demeaning, immature, and unprofessional. There is absolutely no reason for Thunderheart to open a message titled this way.
Is that enough reasons?

How come there is on response here from anyone at SOE? The BE correspondent?
Benechi and Fodder I aggree with you guys. I feel the same way. There are some BE's though that are irrational about this and I do not understand their true motivation. They say "you should have known". That is rubbish. There was not... and is not... a definition of what is good and what is not. So how could anyone know where the line is?
I took it upon myself to not exploit. But if someone waves their boney little finger in my face, I am going to go off.... Big time...
"I am not going to tell you what is right and wrong, but I will punish you if you step over the line"..... "What line? Where?".... "Dont play dumb with me, you know where the line is"..... "
Someone is downgrading these posts. I hope I never know that person.
What TH should have done is apologize to everyone for putting out a sloppy new BE system that was totally untested and majorly bugged in more than one way.
To apologize for foisting this buggy system on players, justbefore thewhole staff running out of town for two weeks while people make pets with it. It would have been pretty hard to make a CL10 that wasn't invalid, and nobody even NOW knows where the line on a valid pet is.
Then he should have apologized to all the players who made and bought them because they would be taken away.
That would have been the proper way to handle it.

This is a silly and preposterous notion. No one in their right mind actually thought that it was ok to make CL10 pets with 7k-10k health and 48% resists. NO ONE. The people who persisted in creating these pets knew very well there was something wrong, they jsut didn't care and decided to take advantage of it anyway. The buyers of these pets, once made aware, were all still willing to take the gamble that the pets wouldremain usable like some other pre-nerf creations are like Probots and Krayt FWG5 pistols. It was a bad gamble. And it was mentioned on more then once occasion that the more people that did this the faster it would prompt the devs to make a hotfix and when that happens they *always* break more then they fix. So it happened as predicted, thats all.
I never said that CL10 pets with 7k-10k health and 48% resists was right. But what about...
CL 10 w/4K Health and20 resists, but no specials
CL 10 w/3K Health and 20 resists, with specials?
CL 28 w/7K health and 40 KR, but lots of vulnerabilities?
CL 30 w/ 7K Health and AR1, ranged, great damagebut lousy resists?
Until the devs tell us, we don't know where the line of legality is.
Benechi
You can lower that to
CL 10 w/ 2K HAM and 20% resists kenetic and energy vulnerable to all else, no specials
I had a bunch of these come up invalid

We aren't professionals. We're not getting paid to play.
Benechi
Wah! Wah! Wah!
Get a life - it's only a game. I agree it sucks, but we all still p(l)ay. Don't like the profession, change. Don't like the game, move on. Deal with it or move on, don't pay to be miserable.
I refuse to make these bugged clones. Worse, when I have people ask for them, and then tell them A) I don't make them, because B) they're going to be fixed, I get cursed at, told I'm an idiot, and that the Devs will never remove them from the game. So in game, I've taken personal abuse because of this system, and the perception that it's the BEs fault these bugged clones exist in the first place.
Hell, I'd almost prefer to go back to the old cloning system. At least I understood it...
