Reclusive Cavern Spider Queen, its in the Spider Clan cave on dathomir - its a POI about 3k north of the trade outpost I believe. Best to go shortly after server restart as DJKs like to kill it.

lol

Well I checked it on swgcreatures.com first, you'd only lose about 50 power in the final combine. And the lowered resists and slightly reduced HAM would be made up for by the damage reduction of stun and intim, that was my point. But really, the point of the pet isnt to be viable, you could do the same with YMP etc, its to prove it can be done, so nice job there

Name it something like "DJKSucks" when you bring it out in town to show off, heh

You wouldn't get both stun and intim with one rancor sample. Strong poison can also be viewed as a DOT that adds 110-120 damage to the total damage output.

I would name it DJK sucks but they would just say I was griefing them and I'm tired of hearing Jedi babies whine.

Droid is right, you'd get both stun and intim from a rancor sample (assuming you use a VHQ sample in the aggression slot). But I'm with you Walker. To me the only reason to use the spider queen dna is to get that nice 60/60 with that high damage. If you are willing to sacrifice that for specials, you can get the same thing without going to all the trouble of getting spider queen dna.

lol yeah i didnt mean to nitpick or demean the pet, its a real show of perseverence, I was just discussing purely academically

And in that same vein, strong poison isnt +110 DPS, I didnt want anyone to make that assumption there. It ticks once every 10s or so, IIRC (or if that, even), so its actually more like +11 to DPS, and considering pets cant be trained to do it on command, its really a crap shoot and not a worthwhile special IMHO.

Ah, if only there were a bit more variety in the top end of the sampling range........

I'd be inclined to agree with droidy on this one. Atm, poisons are pretty useless and something like stun/intim would have been a lot better on this beast of a pet (and it is a beast) - but hey, you can't have it all and we do like the 60/60 resists. God knows I tried for hours to get 60/60/AR1/all vulns, all I managed to get was 60/60/all vulns

My best (sans spider queen dna) is Ar160/55 I believe using mainly bmbq and prowling gurreck/grassland voritor tracker(I think that was 3 or 4 generations). I suspect that if someone were insane enough you could do a bazillion generations ofpg or gvtand eventually get it up to 60/60 that way (since fortitude does seem to increase slightly from generation to generation if the samples are good), but owch, that's a lotta work just to eek out that extra 5%

That sounds like a challange

Tried it, after a number of the most HORRIBLE critical fails in my life, I gave up and dropped BE. The only proof of me trying it is in my sig called "Evil Triplet"

Ah my apologies to Droid327, I just remembered the fact that the area special on the RCSQ creates a voided special in special slot 1. So you are correct. Bahamut should be full grown by tomorrow sometime .

ArthurDent, do you know if the developers have ever stated anything about the spawning bug of the Reclusive Cavern Spider Queen spawn? I tried to get the problemsome vis on the forums. I did the typical in-game reports too.

I think it was quite worth the flack you got from the jedi with the creation of this pet. I think I'm going to visit that cave shortly here.

I think your creation is the best lvl69 I've ever seen. I challenge anyone to beat it.
