Thread: Crafting Macro
Hiya, Craze;
yeah, I found a good one a month ago on here, but can't find the original thread to stick in here, so will just give ya the news...
make a macro like this:
/pause xx; (when you're first starting to do it, give yourself 2 to 3 seconds per ingredient, 3 if they aren't right next to each other in inventory/input hopper)
/nextcraftingstage;
/nextcraftingstage;
/createprototype;
/createprototype
Easy as that - Open your tool, select the piece you're working on, then hit the icon for the macro. It will give you xx seconds to select your items, then automatically finish the macro.
For Practicing without creating an item, use /createprototype no item; (on BOTH lines) in place of the above, and your backpack won't fill up and run over.
NOTE: To combat the lag you get while sitting in front of the super-lighted Food/Chem Crafting Stage (which causes lage) AND if you have an Input Hopper full of ingredients like I do, you may want to do what I did:
a) change first line to /pause 2;
b) select the item you're making, THEN go on to the ingredient selection page and select the ingredients at your leisure, THEN go ahead and click on the macro icon. This keeps your macro from crashing the procedure if a) you're a little slow finding an ingredient, or b) your tired finger just won't double-click on an ingredient.
This is almost as fast, and doesn't make you sweat trying to find all the ingredients before the macro boots you out of there unfinished. :->
NOTE 2: This is NOT an "AFK-away" macro; you are still being a good student and sitting there grinding away each item, and not afk eating, drinking, bathrooming, sleeping, or anything else. I saw the epitome of afk-macroing last night on Bloodfin Galaxy, when I took a newbie char of mine to do some ore sampling: 8 or 10 people (most with related names, like GigoHertz, GigoByte, etc.) all kneeling, taking ore samples, and a) none of them spoke to me, b) none answered my request to teach me Surveying I (and later Surveying II), none of them healed themselves as I had to do constantly. Looked to me like a) a Guild out sampling for a pretty good ore, because some were as high as Master Doctor and Master Weaponsmith and Master Smuggler, or b) a couple or three people with multiple accounts too stupid to buy ONE Personal Mineral Extractor to do the same job all of them were doing. That tome looked like an Exploit of the game, and I hate exploits. If ya can't grind it out IN PERSON, and while SITTING AT YOUR COMPUTER, then you've got the wrong idea of "playing a game."

its called "search"... rtfm next time, and leave your pissy attitude at home when you are asking people for help.

yes thank you Calendo, and btw i AM at home so that "leave your pissy attitude at home" comment doesn't make much sense.
ROFLMAO. Now that was funny Blue_Jr. On that note, I got a story for you a friend of mine went through some time back...
My friends grandmother wasn't doing so well, so for one summer he moved in with her to help around the house, and to rebuild the roof for her (which he paid for out of his own pocket). He completed that project, and near the end up summer went out with friends and did not get home till early morning the next day. This upset his grandmother, who felt he should have had a curfew, and informed him "As long as you live under my roof, you will obey by my rules.".... His grandmother was even further upset when he told her "Well, actually, Grandma, technically its my roof."
As far as your original question at the start of this thread, use the search feature for macro, crafting, etc. And you will get a lot of complicated info that you are looking for. I say complicated because its greek to me. Now, if anyone disagree's with macro's, that a matter of their own personal belief. However, as stated in a lot of threads, using the built in macro's of this game is not a violation of any rules of the game.

I'm so sorry. The thread was very obscure and hidden. Took me an entire 4 seconds to find it. The title was a bit subtle, because it had Grinding and Crafting in the subject line. And it was hidden deep, deep in the bowels of the forum. 10 lines from the top. Obviously no one else can find it because its only 3 pages long.
For the total **edit** among us, I am enclosing the URL. Copy it into the address bar of your browser using ctrl-c and ctrl-v. Then press ENTER. I'm typing very slowly because I know you don't read very fast.
