Yeah, now here's what I mean. Take a look at the damage there. 70-75. That is fairly typical for a CL8 critter isn't it and that is where we're starting to see the problems. Resistances are being totally ignored, we know that for a fact. If you took rancor dna and did enough inbreeding you'd find the resistances being exactly the same. So thats a sizable chunk of what makes the pet 'tough' being ignored. Secondly you have the HAM, clearly playing some of the role because it's reduced a bit with each generation. However your seeing stats which are exagerated because of experimentation. Indeed when you look at the action and mind pools for that clone they're what you'd expect really, if you didn't experiment on that clone you'd end up with typical results.

This just goes to show that it's not simply inbreeding causing this, it's a flaw with the calculations. If they prevent us from sampling our clones we'll still be able to get stuff like this.

But ultimately we come down to the same basic point. Is this fair? Is this balanced? That is such an abstract topic that your going to have some people saying yes. Some saying no. Some saying a bit. Some saying they dunno. But who is the authority on what is fair for the game? Me? You? Your pet cat? There is only one group of people who have the authority to say what is fair, it's the developers. They make the game, they have the design briefs for what should nad shouldn't be possible. Who designed the mobs in the game? the devs. So what should we use as a baseline for what is fair? The mobs obviously.

It's simple logic and personally I sit on the side of the devs with this one along with people like Sumo and Arthur. Disagree with us and you disagree with the developers as well. Who makes the changes to the game though in the end?

so if we go by the dev's def of a cl 10 pet it'll be 21,333 total effective HAM to each resist. less to each resists would drop the cl. dmg should be around 55-59. trade offs can be made w/ HAM , resists ect to increase any attribute.

Are you serious? They dump this undocumented cloning system on us, with all sorts of other broken aspects and you want to find the few areas which are broken in our benefit and agree not to use those? Come on. The devs shouldnot onlybe held accountable for fixing this but also documenting the cloning system so a casual BE knows what in the world is going on when they mix and match DNA. You know your system is bad when it takes a few hours onexcel with documentation of 18 combines just to have a glimmer of understanding how base fortitude in the template is determined. It is bad enough that we have to do our own documentaion of how the system works at the expense of our play time, but to suggest that we self police on the buggy aspects too frees the Devs up from any accountability whatsoever from fixing this product. As a consumer our responsibility is to point out our needs, and as a developer it is their responsibility to meet them, not the other way around. At some point there is accoutability for the product laid at the feet of the developers, and I for one am really tired of stopgaps and workarounds as standard operating procedure in lieu of decent bug squashing.

Another big problem with this whole process is I feel as if we are not getting a fair deal. If we report bugs, it seems as if only those bugs which beneficially impact the players are fixed, while the annoying stuff which acts to the detriment of players remains in play for ages. A more honest working relationship would impart equal enthusiasm on bug patching for all bugs, regardless of whether they are the nerf or beef variety.

If you find blaming this on the devs and making them solely responsible for this so you can carry on with a cleanconscience then feel free todo so.Howeversome of us actually prefer to take responsibility for ourselves (even when this is someone elses mess)when it comes to dealing with our customers, yes it's a fictional world however in my mind that isn't an excuse to start acting irresponsibly or without any moral centre.

I personally can't be happy with a customer coming back to me with a complaint demanding I make them a replacement for the one they originally purchased and tell them it's not my fault and blame it on the poorly developed system.

these are new. TH said droid will reflect the new change so that non-ch could use them.

they were supposed to be buffed, but instead they just changed the CL.

they were level 16 with those stats before the change.

now they are level 10 w/ the stats.

Ahh so they are still working under the old system. Sounds like a typical half-arsed SoE approach to game development to me

you know, i wouldn't have a problem with the lower HAM critters if it weren't for the amount of time it takes to make them. if we have the option of cultivating our own dna i'd be happy to make 2500HAM pets.but since all our work is hands-on we need to produce something that would be worth everyone's time.

DE's and WS have the option of using schematics and a factory. we have to collect dna one by one. put them together by hand and watch every single step.

i wouldn't find it worth my time to make something for someone if it's that weak.
