and actually, yes, I still have a lot of fun, becasue it's a game. Yeah, things are bugged, and the creature crafting bug is a nuisance, but if you're going to let a few bugs in a game devastate your life, you either need psychiatric help or you have nothing going on for yourself in real life.

Suggestions;

A BE should be able to experiment to change the CL of a creature, the same as a Medic can experiment to change the Medicine Use of a StimPack. This number should be small, at first, perhaps 10%, so that a BE could make a Grand Wrix (normally CL 22) anywhere from CL 20 to CL 24. Perhaps a Master BE could tweak this experimentation by up to 20%. A creature that is so tweaked should appear 10% smaller or larger, as appropriate.

Color customizations and such should also be available, and a single Experimentation point spent here should allow the BE to choose one of a couple available colors / patterns.

A BE should also have a range of smaller creatures, using models such as the Tabage or Corellion Butterfly, or smaller versions of the Lantern Bird, Tortonor Sludge Panthermodels, and these creatures should be untamable, but sellable as 'pets' that do nothing other than lounge around a persons house, do tricks (perhaps even Entertaining as a Novice Entertainer if trained by a Master CH) or follow the person around as a cosmetic accessory, not a combatant or otherwise useful creature. These would be living furniture more than anything, no more useful than a housecat or parrot. Perhaps this could also be tied into Experimentation, with a MBE being able to 'freeze' a creation permanantly at 10% of final CL (basically the size it is 'born' at as a baby), and rendering it a permanant pet. (or perhaps such a 'dwarf' could be sold and tamed normally, allowing someone to have a CL 5 Rancor, for whatever insane reason a person would want such a thing...)
