I think they are refering to the good old 10K HAM 500dmg 45% resist CL5 super bunnies which are commonly made with nocuous dna. I'm sure there is more dna out there that has a similar effect, but that is the most common.

My posts are not directed to anybody in particular, just saying that for those who think having a "super pet" with low CL is a game feature are somewhat mistaken.

Call it what you will. but at this point itIS a game feature. ( a bad one I will not argue).... but still a game feature.

All a BE has to do to make one is nothing more than he'd do to make any other given pet. Except using certain types of DNA produce more favorable results. Just like any other crafter would use better resources for a better result.

That is not exploiting.... and even after this gets fixed, BE's will still be running around figuring which creature dna combos' give the best results.

I'm done hearing the world exploit attached to BE's. They are not exploiting....

Knighthawk,

Unless I missed it somewhere in your sig, you're not a BE and thus have never crafted one of these pets. It requires quite a few more steps than what a BE normally does to craft any creature. i know that the recipe that some have posted, isn't the same recipe I use when I make a cl 55 pet.

As far as this being a feature of the game, There are a lot of things that you can do in game that are not intended features. Some people were able to call their pets anywhere without a camp. People at times were duping credits and resources, all in game. People are able to stop a faction base from being taken over while seemingly being covert. Some people are calling pre-patch BE pets that are full grown yet do not go against their call level. All of these can or could be at one time done in game using the mechanics given. Would you consider this ok because it was something that the game allowed?

That's what people are making a fuss about, no official word has come forward to say if this is a bug/exploit or something they intended. But if you use your better judgement, you can see it's not the later of the two.

I really don't think people would get banned for using them or making them (as stated before), but I personally won't go around pushing them to people for I feel it undermines my practices [if you can call a virtual profession a practice].

I would have thought by now they would have stopped that creature from spawning, but they didn't. I guess it's alot more work to get it to stop then it would seem. Alot of use that do make these do it out of curiousity to see what we can come up with, not to make it into a game breaking bug. Having some silly screenshots to look back on is fun IMO, so that is why I created some.

I agree though, if I got banned for something this silly, SOE would not get any of my business and I would make sure to use the internet as a good tool to spread my opinion to others.

Well I'm MBE, and while it isn't the same recipe that you'd use for a level 55, you're not trying to make it CL 55 are you,so it's the same system you'd use for any other low level pet from mid-high DNA.

I didn't bother myself, but it's not like there wern't enough posts about how to do it...

Dupeing money is an obvious deviation, so is dupeing items. Using readily available dna an combineing it in a permissable and intended way... can that result in me getting banned? If I am not supposed to use certain DNA, which dna am I not supposed to use. If I am not supposed to combine it in certain ways, where is it written? Why do they allow stuff that is known and dooable.

Part of mastering the game is finding better ways of doing things. Is it ok to do things well but not too well. What is the definition of too well? I follow rules... what are they? I am not going to do less than the best I can do unless they tell me not to.. and they haven't told me to restrain on anything I am doing.

It is your theory that they will penalize people for being more successful than they wanted them to become. But how can you say that, since they have not stated what they consider too good.

I've only been a BE now for a few days (0211 so far) but I think that trying to get a fix on exactly how much better a BE's pets are able to be than in the wild would be a good thing. Let's say you make a Cu Pa. What % better than a wild Cu Pa should you be able to make at the same CL? 5%? 10%? 20%? It makes perfect sense for BEs to be able to make better than wild creatures, after all we're gene splicers! However, the uber pets of yore should not be getting made in all likelihood. I'm trying to grind my way up the Technique tree right now (altho I'll probably pick up a level in Creatures too just so I can make some new stuff) so that I can actually sit down and craft good creatures and not the crap I've made to date heh. Admittedly I have made some decently cool things, which I like that even a Novice who was just pulling in Below Average and the occasional Average could do. Sampling I definitely helped on that count. Then again, doing a bunch of sampling on Dantooine has just made everything better than my start on Tatooine heh.
