I like the fishing idea. We can move from server to server, and all the fish meat can be divided up between the BE's on that server.
Again, moving from server to server, instead of just hunting, we go 'rhino baiting', making it an event to help BE's go sample DNA by being bait for those rancors when they decide they don't like being stuck with a needle. Silly creatures.
For a multi-server just something fun, our wonderful coorespondant can post a type of creature to BE, and we spend the day trying to make it, and never have to leave our various homes or take pain reliver for the arthritis and finger cramps of grinding. We post our results for fun. "Go forth and make a fiery breathing cupa!" I wish.

Lol a fishing derby party is a great idea, though witht aht in mind i know everyone would want it to be on there server /grin
I can host a party though at a cantina : ) ill even higher the enteratiners,, best group of entertainers on any server, bar none

Ok, thanks everyone who has expressed interest here. I'm convinced that there is sufficient interest to explore this. Let me see if we can get any help with this, and if not we'll do it ourselves.
I'm reluctant to do a fishing meet if for no other reason than what we've heard over and over is how tedious and "not fun" fishing is. That being the case I'd hate to try to organize a get-together (especially our first get-together)around such an activity. If enough people disagree, of course I'll reconsider.
The idea of more BE contests and such I'm definitely up for however. I'll put some thought into that and try to come up with something in the coming weeks.

If we do, we should have some FUN categories. Most useless pet:Maybe we would see a2K HA, 12K M kimogila with vulnerabilities to kinetic and energy, and high resistances to all else with two broken specials.
Of course that one would have to be picked by a committee since there are no objective criteria.
Perhaps an egg hunt...30 minutes, three groups, most eggs of one type wins.
Perhaps we could all go visit the lady we all lust after in northern Dathomir. Anyone who kills her will get to explain to Kiin'dray personally.

I put in an inquiry to see if something could be done as far as getting us a froggy on TC or some such, but after thinking about this some, I don't think this is a good idea. Because even if they were to help us out, and grant us novice bio engineer status or some such, TC is down so much these days that this alone would make it a poor choice. Nothing like having TC down to spoil the event.
So here's what I'm thinking:
We get some pets made and trained, we make new characters, login, and take posession of the petsa week before the event. Then on a weekend we pick a time to meet and head out to hunt and goof off. If we do this on Bria, I can help making the pets. I also have a CH who could train pets, but he's low level, so they wouldn't have many commands. Bria is laggy though, which is a drawback. If anyone else would like to volunteer to help either on Bria, or would like to volunteer to help "host" it on another server, please post here so we can sort this out over the next few days.

what sort of things are we gonna do? is it worth me spending a few hours on bria before hand getting some half decent combat skills?

Not that I would want to exclude anyone, but those of us on combat revamp alpha team, and more to the point, those added later to the combat revamp beta team, should get together and do some type of event testing or the sort. Try to make testing a bit more interesting and fun. Probably be successful with that and everyone would be one the same server with froggies.

If need be, and push comes to shove, then I will be willing to help "host" it (as you so put it, Arthur) on the Far-Star server. I Am BE on that server and so have no problem making the creatures (if I am able) and if I dont have the ability, am willing to grind like smeg to get the ability. (Gives me some insentive, lol)
Also, I have a friend who is master CH - I am sure I could pull in a favor or two, maybee... Let me know what you think.

FarStar would be alright for me, as I have two characters on there - both with next tono combat skills.

Hmm. If they'd just let us use Fragmentation Grenades to fish, it would be a much more fun event to fish...
Contests amongst the servers is a possibility, I think; but whatever turns out to be the decision, have to pick a day and general time period for a get together so we can get assured attendance from the most people. (I think fishing with dynamite would have this effect, but then, in a time of blasters and lasers that fry planets, maybe using the oldest way known to all species is good for stress relief.)
Hmm. I'd say I can host an event on Kettemoor, except I know I don't have the time online to put together all the creatures and such. I could provide a lovely city and some good hospitality though, and Kettemoor seems to run fairly smooth.

Yeah far star would be cool for me too. Actually any server is just as good as any other for me. It's not like I'm gonna grind BE for the event on a server I've never been on.
Let's get the CDEF's and CL10 tanks rolling and go kill some Durnis.
