why do you want to dump the beetle in the first place? Those things are l33t (at least until you have a kliknik queen that is)

It is kinda of a role play thing and kinda a game thing.

I really don't like insects with the expection of the Dalyrakes and I have pretty much decided on specializing in Cats or Lizards (maybe spiders), just for a roleplay reason.

The game thing is because I don't have enough slots. I currently have a GSP, a Grand Wrix and a Wrix that was was first pet. Currently I can only have 4. I am finding alot of things I fight on a regular bases a bit much for my CL 12 Wrix but not giving enough exp on my CL21-23 Cats. I really fight nothing that the Beetle gets exp off since I don't try to solo reds or fight at the Tusken Camp. I am either A) going to keep the slot open for the 900+ exp per baby training or B) get a CL 15-17 pet thats got a bit more beef than my Wrix but still gives good exp.

That is why I want to get rid of my Sand Beetle

Prices are pretty hard to discuss in a forum since we are all on different galaxies. Spices which sell for 800 credits on one server sell for 100 on Valcyn. Totally different economies.

To offload those lower level pets, you gotta be a salesman. For every gurreck I sale, i tend to sell about 2 or 3 mid to low level pets. Why you may ask. Because everytime i sell a gurreck I ask what they currently have. Usually nthing. Thn you have to inform them that that uber pet isnt going to get them creature hadnler XP, if they need xp to elvel their skills, they need to buy this nie cupa I have. And tell ya what, since youbought the gurreck, i'll sell you this one for half price.

people hear the conversation and realizem they too want to get the best xp for their buck and contact me,

Gotta remember too, in a week people are going to want some of the lower level pets cause thats all they can use.

Oh, and lets not forget the glorious addition of non creature handlers being able to use ow level creatures. They're gonna have to get it from somebody... Cha-ching!

I've had this problem on Sunrunner. I hve absolutely no idea what to charge for a creature. why? because I'm also a dancer. You see, the idea of actually getting credits for something I do is foreign to me.

The way I see it, a pet can have several uses.

decoration, self-defense, etc.

The way I see it is that there should be a set price for all creatures based completely on CL. add to this price for rare and valuable creatures, like kimogili.

and off we go:

take the CL and multiply by 1000. that's your starting price.

for any creature that requires clone engineering 1, +1000 creds.

ce 2, add 1500 more. (cumulative with the 1000 above)

ce 3, add 2000 more.

ce 4, add 2500 more.

master BE, add 3000 more.

If you experimented, add 500 per rank of engineering techniques you got.

that's just a guideline, but what do you guys think of it?

I've been charging a flat 2xCLx1000 per pet. Hence, a CL 52 Rancor is 104,000 credits.

Regardless of stats. Since the last major change, I'm getting more "balanced" pets, so no more CL 9 Kusak's with 8K health hitting for 300. Well, my CL 36 Kaadu with 10K health isn't a bad mount for a CH who can use it, heh? 72K credits?

Is that reasonable or am I charging too little?

Thanks,

a flat rate is nice, it just kinda makes the more impressive pets a bit less appealing.

That, and CL doesn't have much to do with value anymore.

can != should

The combat system will be 'balanced' when NPC's and PC's have the same HAM.

So... what are you all charging for your critters?

What is the range of prices for a good high level BE'd pet (for example a rancor)? If you could name a good high level pet and it's usual price that would be great.

I dont know about Lowca but on Gorath even uber BE pets go for next to nothing. Only pets worth alittle money r non-ch which i think they should nerf. Only ch's should have the ability to control pets
